I completely agree with you that the clearance should be another 2" and then it will fit perfectly even over a winter coat.

Thanks again for asking them to redesign the straps.

Is my math wrong?

I thought the Medium had 4" clearance.
The Large had 7" clearance.

You're saying the new Medium now has 6" but you are asking for another 2" which would make the straps 8" (longer than the Large size)?

I haven't taken any exact measurements myself...I asked him for 2-3 more inches from the original...he must not have gone quite that much. Bottom line is it still needs about 2 more inches from the current redesign.

If you read some of the prior posts, some people have had issues when wearing the bag open and with the shoulder strap. All of your things can fall out since only the back of the bag is supported by the straps.

I also want to comment that I have been carrying my medium as somewhat of a brief case as it fits my laptop! It looks really nice over the shoulder messenger style like this. I have to re-iterate again what a work horse it is...I have stuffed it to the brim and it still looks new...the leather didn't stretch or look strange afterwards when I emptied it out.

To each their own:smile1: Hard to accommodate all the requests and suggestions and find 100% agreement. Overall, I think it's a good solution with a nice look. I actually think it looks much better and more natural here then 2 hooks on the back of the bag, especially if you take the strap off.

I agree with you plus, more importantly, it makes the bag much more functional if you're carrying things like your laptop in it, etc.

And I also agree that bags are workhorses. I have put the larger one (which is the only one I've used because I need the longer handles) through a lot of hauling, in inclement weather, etc., and it still looks brand new. Even the handles, which surprised me a bit, because I've had it loaded with as much as I could lift -- seriously well-made bag!

Thank you!(and thank you for being involved in the redesign)

I'm interested in this because the lack of long handles has kept me from using the Medium, yet I do like the look of it as it is... I wish I was the type who carried bags with my hands but I don't :nuts:

Just received my large and medium from lovely Erica. Thought I would post some pics of the medium, it does fit quite snuggly on my shoulder. I am 5 foot 7.
