I think gray or cognac would be beautiful. Those colors kind of remind me of these photos of Kelly Rutherford. She is wearing Birkins but what do you think...

How can we sign up for the special order colors?

I wonder if the Small size will look like this worn. It's not bad at all. Still want to see some mod pics to show up here.

I have the dk. purple with gold, and though I like it, it really doesn't look or feel like a bag that cost more than 600.00. JMO. I am a sucker for bags so am keeping it anyway. I got the Medium

I would have to agree with chessmont. I am using this bag, I like it, but I don't love it. It doesn't look like it's worth over $600. I think it's the finishing of the bag. I must say that it's very handy though. It can fit A LOT, so I just dump everything inside and go. Yesterday I found two empty water bottles inside the bag and I still had all the room I need!!!!

Same here , Chess and Ann... i would have been totally satisfied with it had the price been somewhere between $300-400 max for the medium. for me, the saving grace of the bag is its light weight - well, that and the fact that it can hold a lot!

Thanks so much! I really appreciate all of you MT owners' honest opinions on the bag. I keep waffling about it but I feel like the handle drop's too small. I do like how lightweight the bag is but the handle drop's a deal breaker for me right now though.

I forgot about the handle..but you are right, the small handle drop can be a bit of a bother :-(

It's true...

I think that's why I love the large bag... The handles are perfect and the light weight of the bag makes it perfect for my needs -- especially as it seems almost waterproof!

I have been lusting after an old chevre Weekender forever but now know the only option would be if I could find a man's version with slightly longer handles... Yet I'd never dare to use it in situations I do the MT.

It really is a pity about the handles on the Medium size. Even if I'll never love it as much as I do my B-bags, it would be incredibly useful and functional with no need to baby it. The leather may not feel glorious, but it is hardy. And light -- which can't be said about a lot of bags out there.

I'm a lilttle nervous about my medium now, but I'm still hoping that I will love it. :wondering:

Does anyone knows how it compares to the MK Hamilton? I'll be really annoyed with myself if the MK is nicer and less than half the price!

I bought the MK Hamilton and returned it, didn't like it that much. It is so structured compared to the MT, I don't think you can compare them. (I hope I am thinking of the Hamilton, forget names of bags) I assume you mean the one that is the same shape essentially as the MT.

Once again, I don't know what it was about the MK I didn;t like, just 'it'. I liek the MT better, it is certainly different than the multitude of similarly-styled bags out there!:smile1:

Thanks chess! I do prefer slouchy bags... I think I'm just paranoid. I made so many bag mistakes last year, and I vowed this year would be different. Hopefully, my first bag purchase of the year will be a good one.

Thanks Chess and everyone. I have to say that the cost was what was holding me back. Believe me I have no problem spending money on a handbag. haha I just didn't know if this bag was worth the price tag. And it was hard to spend that amount of money on something I had never seen before and could not return. Anyway, that being said i did purchase a MK Hamilton in the extra large size which is very hard to find. I lucked out and had an SA from California track one down for me in the luggage color. It is the same bag that can be seen a few pages back. It was mistaken for an MT. I love the bag. It is pretty light and just slouchy enough and the the handle fits over my shoulder. (it also had the chain handle)
