I have to say I thought the same thing when I first got mine but I have been using or should I say abusing it everyday for 2 wks and it still looks amazing!! I'm a little hard on my bags as I have 2 little ones and it's not unusual that they unfortunately just get thrown on the car floor or on any other floor for that matter! LOL! I have also stuffed it to the brim when traveling with the babies too, went through airline security, on the floor of the plane and it's really held well. I was concerned that the leather might show stretching since I really stuffed it and could see where things were making the leather poke out, but I have to say it must be very durable because it still looks nearly new.

I finally got mine yesterday :yahoo:!! I'm like you, I pack them with waaaaay too much stuff as I hate carrying a handbag plus Tote (for work stuff). After I got the box, I immediately pulled out the contents of my Bal Part-Time and put all the stuff into my Large MT .. and it's WONDERFUL!! I especially like the fact that I can put the bag on my shoulder (even with a winter coat) as the handles are large enough (what I always hated about the Bal WE or Work).

Here's a (not-so-great) pic of my Large Black (w/ Gold HW) MT 'Birkin'!

i love it! and ladies i figured out a way to wear it with the long shoulder strap.
just pull the middle flap over the turnlock and close it. all your stuff stays in and it looks chic.

Like you, I was also surprised to find that it didnt have a lining inside which make the leather feel more thinner... I would be so afraid to put water bottle in it... :thinkin:

I finally took some photos. Erica, thank you for your input! The thinness of the leather is actually not bad when I put some stuffs and carried. I guess I'll get use to it eventually :)

Wow! Gidramom, Love the black/gold combo. Thanks for the clear mod pics, the bag looks great on you. Your pics are making me swayed on getting this combo, too.

I wonder how the Small size compared to the Medium size, i hope somebody who got the small can post some pics. Maybe E can post some comparison pics on all 3 sizes, if it's ok.
