Serena, have you found out about the lock clicking on your bag?

Hi Jacqvic,

Actually, the next morning, the turn lock gave out completely. :( I am returning it. I love the style of the bag and really am quite sad. (T_T)

Do you have this bag? I take it that the turn lock incident may just be a freaky accident since I haven't read anywhere where anyone had the same problem.

Cheers,
Serena

Hi Jacqvic,

Unfortunately, mine is not a happy ending. My first impression was that the purse was only ok, but then I grew to love it more and more and now, I have to part of it. (figures!) The company I purchased it from did not have any more in stock (mine was the last one).

My initial impression of the bag when I first took it out was 'o is this it?'. It was my first high end purchase purse (I have several Coach purses but I don't really count them as 'high' end) and I have very high expectations of it. I was really excited for it to come and could *not* wait until Fri when it was supposed to arrive. Sometimes, you know how you have such high expectations and then you (or at least I) worry that my expectations are unrealistic and then you're setting yourself up for that disappointment. So well, that's kind of how it was. But then my feeling of excitement won over. kekeke. Anyway, that's how I was feeling before the purse came. So I think unless it could sing to me, I probably would have felt like it with any purse b/c of the amount of $ I had spent on it. But after playing around with it and getting to know what it can do for you, I love it!

After playing with it - this is what I found out:

The items will still fall out if you leave your bag open & the side strap wide open unless you adjust the purse side strap (where the 2 metal works are) to make it tighter and then it was no problem.

& there are so many ways you can carry/wear it (whether on your shoulder or your arm):

1. Middle flap closed and lock it or with the turn lock.
2. All 3 flaps closed with the turn lock (not as convenient).
3. No flaps closed (but will have to use the shorter/arm straps to carry).
*all the above is with the purse side strap wide open * You can changed those style with the purse side strap lock into the hardware and it kind of gives it a different/smaller look. You can go casual or classy. That is why I love this purse! (Someone had mentioned earlier in the forum that you can put in a dSLR and I agreed - but then I felt my dSLR itself would have to wear a sleeve since the purse is somewhat thin.)

Carrying it with the shoulder strap is also nice. I am not so much of a carry your purse on your arm. It gets old. & I am lazy.

You can also carry it across your shoulder but imo, it didn't look good on me. But desperation calls for desperate means. :graucho:

I am 5'7 @ 135 pounds.

I could barley get the arm straps through my arms to carry it on my shoulder.

The leather is really distress so the front of your purse is going to look wrinkly (or at least mine did) but I just grew to like it more and more. It definitely slouches and I thought it would bother me but it didn't.

I would exchange it in a heartbeat if there was another one in stock. :p:blushing:

I almost broke down and decided to just have it repair (the company would have to send it in for repair) but my brother convinced me out of it. He feels that for a new product that I pay so much for, I should get the same new product (it's almost like getting a brand new iPad at Best Buy only to have it broke down on you - you would expect to get another new iPad, not a repair/refurbish iPad). I think that is to each its own.

Maybe, mine is an isolated incident. It is a bit disappointing that it broke. On a side note, the company I ordered from has been awesome. I will order from them when I find my second love.

Let me know what you decide to do! If you don't mind me asking, where are you going to be purchasing it from?

Good Luck! Let me know if there are any questions I can answer for you.

Cheers,
Serena

Serena, so did you decide to return the bag? I agree with your brother...if the product arrives broken then you should received a new replacement.

Hi Jacqvic,

I returned the bag! The question was to whether I should have it repair. :( It was just that the company didn't have any more in stock and wasn't planning on carrying more in stock so I couldn't exchange it. Maybe its a sign? LOL

Cheers,
Serena

well Serena, think of it this way.....if it was meant to be, it was meant to be. now that you don't have it, think of another bag you'd love to have!

I looked closer at the MT and i wasn't as impressed as I was at first look.

if its the birkin look you want, I have had my Michael Kors hamilton for 3 years and it takes a beating and is still in great condition.

hope all works out.

Thanks Jacqvic,

I am now looking at the Chloe Paraty. They are so different though. In price & style!!!! Not sure if I can bite that bullet. :\

The MK Hamilton is kind of big for my style. But glad to hear that the MK brand are long lasting!

Serena

Hi levo love,

It's been a little over a month since you have your MT bag. Do you have any other feedbacks on it? Your pictures looks great! Thanks for sharing!

Cheers,
Serena

Hi Serena,
I am still totally in love with it! :) its really reallyyy light and it works for me as I carry a ton of stuff recently. I just waterproofed it actually, in case if it gets wet but I think even w/o waterproofing the leather is really durable and 'chewy'. Also, because the bag doesnt have compartments inside (only a thin zip pocket and phone holder pouch), I use a bag organizer for it so I guess it keeps it in shape more too. Hope it helps!:smile1:

Hi levo love,

Thank you for your feedback. You make me want to get the MT bag repair! :D I actually had stuck a purse organizer in it too when I had mine and it made it shappy too! :D

Serena

Has anyone been able to contact anyone at MT recently? I want to get one of his bags for my fiancée  I tried contacting them through their online store messaging system (Blomming) a while back (I also sent them an email several weeks ago) but I haven't heard back from them. :shucks:

Thanks!

Hi there,

Have you tried to Message them on Facebook?

Are you trying to get just a black MT bag?

If all you're wanting is a black MT, I believe there is another website that sells it (will have to do a search in this thread). I think its Alice & something or Alicester or something. If you can't find it in the thread, I will be happy to look for you.

You're a very nice BF. Let us know how it goes!

Cheers,
Serena

:shame:

Ah I found the site, it's called Asteralice :smile1: Thank you so much for your advice! I'm looking through their MT collection now. I also sent a message to MT's FB account. You're right - I was thinking of getting a black one for her. I think the "Media-Grande" Birk on their Blomming site would be quite nice but I can't tell if the picture shows gold or silver hardware, so I just wanted to make sure I could get it in gold before I placed my order. :graucho:

Any thoughts on the media-grande size? Anyone own one? :p

Anyway I'll let you all know how it goes

Thanks again Serena!

You welcome! I had the Medium size and I thought it was perfect (for me). I'm 5'7. It all depends on how much one is going to put in the bag. If you always carry a lot, maybe, the large one would be the way to go but it would just overwhelm me.

I had gotten mine from ****** (http://www.hgbagsonline.com/cart/). They told me they would probably not carry anymore MT Bags in stock and the other day, they had taken the brand off their website. However, its back on again. So I'm not too sure what's happening. You can always email them and see. If you can wait and they do bring it back in stock, you could sometimes find a pretty good deal through them when they have a special.

If you can't wait, well, I would say Asteralice is the way to go. :D

Cheers,
Serena
