spacey~ i totally agree. i'd go to Europe too, they have so many fine arts there that just aren't taught or appreciated here.

and in other news, a sweet sweet PFer offered to send me her blake to check out the so-cool IRL. it just arrived and OMG i love it! it's definitely not soft calf, but woah! it reminds me of BBag leather. the dark plum color is so rich and gorgeous IRL...something that in all the pics i have seen, is very hard to capture on film. the gold HW on it really makes the color pop. oh thank goodness i think i made the right decision!!!

that's great news, jun! i'm happy you love the so cool leather. honestly, it took some time for it to grow on me, but i don't think it's so bad now. it looks particularly stunning on darker colors, but i recently got an ivory so cool blake for my mother and i thought it looked very classy in a light color as well. it's really my dream version of patent, and, you're right, it's very similar to the newer bbag leathers. that's not to say i don't want scc to make its return, but i'm appreciating so cool in the meantime.

How annoying is Barneys?? I've yet to order from them, mainly b/c I constantly hear stories like yours, BL. Ugh.

June, how sweet of that PFer to give you a preview! I really do think the dark plum is stunning with the gold HW. I've only seen it on the Blake and MP, but I really think it's gorgie!

i was really terrified it'd either be really plasticky feeling, not as deep and saturated IRL, or it'd feel flimsy or something. im so glad to see it's none of those things. and the areas where the wear does show really isn't that bad at all. I do love soft calf, but i have to say the so-cool is wonderful IRL too!! i do hope he brings the SC back, but this leather aint as bad as some people had said...it's got a soft sheen, but it's not in your face shiny like patent...wow! i cant wait to see what it looks like on a big bag like the stella!!:yahoo::wlae:

and Barney's has done that every time I have ordered from there. The stink! I am going down to the strip tomorrow night so I am just going to go to Barneys and hope they have it tbere in the store
