^ oh heck yah! i collect vintage hats and have like this obsession over them. i have a wool cloche with plum silk charmeause bow on it, but i have only worn it maybe once. it's from the 1930's...maybe when my dk. plum stella comes, i'll snap some pics with it. seems like it's make a good match. :p

i love some of the hats on etsy. i really would LOVE to get into millinery...

hi everyone!!
we are on our way back from our shopping excursion. saw lots of pretty things, went into Chanel, Gucci, JC and LV :cloud9: and all the other major dept. stores. most of the sale bags had been picked over but they still had a few things left.

bl- i went into LV to look at your Mahina. that bag is t.d.f. i had never seen it irl and had to check it out. both grey and black are gorgy!!

grace, what are you getting from chanel? i just bought a second reissue myself! we're on the same bag wavelength, i tell ya!

Me, too! I wish there were more millinery classes. There used to be one at Otis/Parsons when I used to go there at night. I always thought about taking the class. Now, when I really would love to, they moved the campus over towards LAX. It used to be so close in Downtown L.A. I really wish they would move it back to where it was. They also used to have handbag design and other really cool classes. It's almost like you have to do an apprenticeship or something in order to really learn the technique.

Me too! So lame that it so difficult to learn specialty arts like that here in the states. I swear, if I won the lottery I would just drag DH off to Europe and take garment/accessory crafting classes for the rest of my life:girlsigh:

Oh and the hat maker's name from the first pic is irresistiblefelt on etsy

Had you already told us which one you'd decided on? :nuts: I :heart: that dark plum color!

BL, yes the CLs arrived and they are SMOKIN HAWT:drool: The right one is a teensy bit tight (that foot is just barely bigger than the other one, annoyingly) but I think the suede will give a bit, more so than, say, patent. And they're soooo flattering! I'm in wait and see mode, b/c the boots would be more practical but they won't get here until at least next week. DH has the camera with him at the Globetrotters game but I might snap a few pics when he gets home to see what ya'll think.

Spacey, I think that first one is so appealing. I love hats and I've tried and failed to wear them well. But I always think they look amazing on other people and I totally think you're one who could pull it off brilliantly!

tad-i've narrowed it down to the metallic black with silver hardware, size 227. i think. this will probably be my birthday present if i can possibly wait that long, until march. congrats on the anniv. grey, can't wait to see your pics!

sorry for the torture bl, but i love the grey! :heart:

you'll love the metallic black. classic chanel, but with punch and edge. i think it makes the reissue look a little more special. your birthday is in march too?! omg, are you me? am i speaking to myself? am i in a tear in the space time continuum? :wtf:
