That's a funny dream Space! Maybe the expanded Venetia signifies your desire for a bigger MJ family :shrugs: Maybe?

Sarah, your dog looks so comfy in that slanket!

Lol, most likely;). Though I think I'm at critical mass right now. That and DH is talking about buying a house:sweatdrop:. I can't stop thinking about how that might mean a shopping ban:crybaby:.

Sarah, love the snuggly pup! Put a mug of coca in the shot and I would swear that dog was vegging and watching TV.

I have never seen Top Chef. I have got to watch it. I really don't watch any reality tv, at all. I feel out of it when everyone is discussing all this stuff!
roro, i got HOOKED during an all-day marathon when i was home sick (i think it was the end of season 1 and they were replaying all the eps before the finale). it's such a great show. what those people can do with food is really amazing!!!

hi tiger!!! i think that the only thing that matters is that you love the fendi bag. i still love 'older' style bags and don't even think about it being in style any more. welcome to the chat - i hope you stick around! we *do* have fun in here!!!! :graucho:

BUYING A HOUSE?! WOOHOOO!!!!!!

make sure it has a big closet!!!!!!!!!!!

xi, I hope soon. I just got the offer and BIN'd it this morning. I messaged the seller and I am hoping I get a response telling me they are sending it out NOW! Can you tell I am anxious to get my hands on that bag??

Spacey, a house is a good thing, but yeah...it can sometimes put a damper on purchases. I had to be good for awhile while we were buying the house. Then, you kind of grow into the idea of the mortgage and it all works out. And...ditto on making sure it has a big closet. I hate my closets and I thought they were fine when we first bought the house. No way. I secretly want to take over one of my daughter's rooms and make it into a huge closet-room....ha ha...she probably wouldn't like that much.

My dogs are so lazy. I don't have a slanket, but two of them are in my bed and the other is laying on my Hello Kitty blanket like a little slug. He's going to be 3 on Monday!

I actually had to get off the couch this morning by sliding myself out of the slanket, as my arm was trapped underneath her, and she just continued to stay cozy long after I got up.

hehehe this is the cutest thing...

there are two men who work in our office of mostly women (2 men and about 14 women). one is in his late 30s and the other is in his 50s.

they delivered Valentine's Day treats to all of us. a yo-yo with hearts, a little box of chocolates, a box of conversation hearts, and this heart-shaped noise maker thing. They had huge smiles on their faces as they made their little deliveries and you could hear all of the girls squealing or laughing or whatever. it was so nice (i was teaching when i heard all the squealing and laughter). they delivered mine after class  (that's when i saw the big smiles)

it was so sweet of them and they sure know how to butter us up! lol.
(the older gentleman also hung stockings on each of our doors before christmas and put little treats in the stocking each day!)

Tad, I don't know why you would be concerned about your dog stealing your slanket...

haha! oh god, penny is so cute! now if that were sam, all you'd see would be eyes and a bit of tail.

that's so exciting, space! now's the time to buy. where are you thinking of looking? going to see the houses is the most exciting and stressful part of the process. you'll see how deceiving photos at real estate brokerage websites can be. i went to places thinking it would be my dream apartment based on teh pictures online only to find a hot tranny mess. keep us updated!

LOL at your dream, Space! And how exciting to be considering home ownership!! I personally loved the entire process both times we've done it. I love looking at houses, talking about houses, decorating houses...all of it! We ended up building which we enjoyed immensely, and at the time we said we'd be here forever, but a few years later we're already talking about what we'd do differently 'the next time.' I think we're refinancing b/c rates are so great right now. Definitely a buyer's market and a good time to borrow!

Ahhhhh! I know, its stressful and exciting at the same time! So far we really have no idea what we might want. At first we were thinking of looking at condos because we are a little scared of all the responsibility. Now we're thinking we really want our own space, its hard though because I have very specific things that I really want in a house, and if I'm going to spend such a crazy amount of money then it really needs to be just right.
We would really like to stay near the downtown area where we currently are renting. I love to be able to walk to work. There are a lot of old Victorian where we are looking, and I would really love to be able to snag one of those.

I'm wishing that the prices would drop just a little bit more though. . .

refinance rates have been out of this world. i thought we had a good rate. it was about 5.75% then when i heard the news that rates dropped, i refinanced right away. now our rate is at about 4.8%.

i sound like one of those commericals that play in between an episode of judge david young or something.

We can actually get a great rate from my DH's employer(4%). We are also toying with the idea of buying a really large house that has been divided into individual units. Nothing like diving head first into being a landlord right?:s
