Hey, Tiger! Welcome. I think you should buy a bag that YOU love, not worry about what others think. I like some Fendis and some Spy bags. Some that I see are a little too much for me, but the more subtle Spy bags are nice and I have often admired those. No matter when they were most popular, if you love a bag, you can carry it forever. That is my theory.

Tad, yes....I bought it. It was about $100 off the price it originally sold for, so I thought it was too good to pass up. It was $439. Hopefully, it was not returned for some reason and it was just a non-paying bidder. Even so, a little bit of leather conditioner on a Hudson works wonders. I have been wanting that color combo. I thought that if I waited, it would probably be gobbled up by someone else they sent a second chance offer to! It's not fully leather lined, but I am not complaining. I think I got a good deal.

I can't believe I don't watch Top Chef. I really love following chefs and restaurants via Bon Appetit, Cooks Illustrated, etc. I didn't realize they had such good chefs on that show. I will have to check it out.

that exact bag is on hold for you? i don't know how i feel about the contrasting color on the handles and spy casing. i don't want to deter you from buying it if you love it. this is merely my opinion, but i do think the spy has seen better days if you kwim. it's a handsome bag and it still gets my attention, but i guess i've seen so many women wearing it in the city both real and fake, that i'm just sick of it. it's not as fresh as it was when it first debuted. back then i thought it was very clever and cool. i feel the same way about the paddington. i used to think the lock was so awesome. now i look at it and think how ridiculous it looks.

Ro, some of the handles are smooth. Thanks, ladies. You all have impecable taste thats why I wanted to ask someone other than my dh. I will pass since I already have a ton of purses..

Also, I was reading that you got that Hudson - what a great price. I was watching that one, but I think my stripings are over running my closet. The black combo is so elegant! For the price, I think you will be able to deal with the canvas lining. The middle is leather, so the canvas really doesn't show. Congrats and post pics when you get it.

Thanks, Sarah! I think I did. We won't really know until it arrives. Hopefully, it will be great. I was really surprised to see that in my E-bay messages. I usually don't even notice my messages, but I did this morning. I am really surprised that it didn't sell the first time. I love the Hudson and I think this will be a really great bag that I will wear quite often. I am getting kind of spoiled with all of these recent deals. I am going to have a hard time buying MJ bags if they aren't great deals!:p

Good morning ladies!

I had to share the weird MJ dream I had last night with you.

I was traveling with my black Venetia and suddenly as I was leaving my hotel I noticed that my Venetia had grown. . .like really expanded in a very extreme way. It was now about 5 feet long and had developed a shoulder strap. I was really distressed at first but then I stopped for a moment and realized I could now use it as a suitcase:D

Congrats on the new addition Roro:heart:

that's a cute dream. so what does it mean? that you'll love mj no matter what? it'd be fun to open and close a pushlock on a five foot venetia. i'd have to use my entire hand.

Spacey, that is a great dream. Very innovative! I think an oversized Venetia would be a great travel bag. LOL! We should all send our crazy MJ dreams to the company and see if they turn up in the next collection.

The one with Sandra Bullock on the cover? I have that one, but haven't really gone through it. I will have to take a look. I get so many mags, I never have the time to read them.

So....I am off work today, my husband just left for two days for a biz trip and the kids are all at school. It is soooooo quiet here. I am in heaven! Sometimes, the most simple things are the best. Being able to sit around in my pajamas, reading tpf, drinking my coffee in a chair, not in a car......love it!:tup:

OMG, Sarah!! That is sooo cute.
