Hoping for a little help with one more question... Does the MG website ever go on sale (e.g. post-Christmas)? I'm assuming not.

Reason I ask is that I want a couple of bags with really specific inside colours (I'm pedantic!). I don't like the bright coloured insides - I like the raw or subtle ones - and, after searching the web endlessly, I can only find what I want on the MG site itself. If it never goes on sale, I may as well just buy now before any go out of stock....

Thanks for your help all

I can be totally wrong on this but I've never seen MG go on sale. Even though they've been good with stock lately, it's always a good idea to snatch up the combo you want. I feel like the combinations and availability changes very frequently. Good luck!

Thought as much...I'll order the two I want now and get exactly what I want. Good advice.

And this means 3 MG bags in one day - two new and one gorgeous one off Tradesy...it may be less expensive than my previous run on Givenchy but it's still a problem!!!

Yes!!! Lol. Do post pics when you get them!

Hehehe! I end up finding a designer I like and then getting overly excited and buying a whole bunch...and given the price of MG vs. the rest of my collection (generally Givenchy, Bals and Mulberry), it was easy to do. But, am I the only one that does this? I am genuinely asking because I am a little concerned about me!

In any case, this is what I ended up landing on today:
- Lady Bag (calf leather) - Sand/beige (from Tradesy)
- Mini Lady Bag (veg tanned) - Brandy/brick
- Mini Bucket (veg tanned) - Black/raw

Super excited about all this and proud of myself for staying away from black two out of three times. Will post pics when they arrive and thanks to all for answering my questions throughout the various twists and turns in decision making!

I do it too. Once I get on to something I overdo it. Did that with MG and now I'm a bit sick of them (which while I was buying many I didn't think I would get that way). I ended up with well over 15 MG bags but no more than 9 at a time because I sold some then bought more. Now I'm trying to sell some again but they don't sell as well as they did unfortunately, I missed that boat.

Yes!!! I am not the only one!

It's the excitement that gets me...the excitement of my pedantic self finally liking something after endless googling. But then googling more and more while I decide on what I want, and somehow convincing myself that I need EVERYTHING (not want, I truly am convinced that I cannot put together an outfit any longer without it).

Luckily my record is 4 - I managed it with both Givenchys and Bals, which was pricey business each time. I *try* to get different colours or styles, but I know what you mean. There is one ridiculously priced Givenchy shopper tote in my cupboard that I've used a handful of times (a small child can literally fit in it and I just don't use it...I really don't know what possessed me - I should really have measured it).

Just sold my mini mini and will probably sell the calf rosa mini and maybe the black flamma regular still deciding on those.
I also bought a few in the NAP private sale but sent them all back knowing I'd never use them past the first week!

Hey, that's progress!!! You recognised the issue and did something about it. Have a good think about that rosa...oh, stop me.

We should form a support group - there will be others on PurseBlog...many others, I imagine. We could call it 'Uncontrollable Nighttime Bag Accumulators' Group Support' (or UN-BAGS for short).

On that note, I'm getting silly and it's bed time for me. I have literally googled all night (I'm in Australia and it's now 6am) - this is like a symptom of the compulsive buying disorder. Luckily I have a day off work tomorrow.

1st time bucket owner here. I purchased the Purse to Go Jumbo from amazon, and it seems to be way too large for my bag. Any suggestions on which size I should get instead? Or if any of you have experience with Joey Junior organizers?

I'm going to be looking in the post-Christmas sales for a MG lady bag in black for work... I figure it's versatile enough to wear for work, right?!

Just can't decide whether I want veg tanned leather or saffiano. Problem is that I'm in Australia and can't actually find a saffiano to have a look at it.

I know saffiano will not show wear as much, but saffiano just seems so shiny and almost fake looking (at least to me)...and there's just something about real leather and how it wears in... First world problems, hey, but I'm torn.

I hear that the saffiano strap can flake and crack a little...but I don't know if that's something that is going to sway me. And I know that the veg tanned might not hold the shape as well...

If there's any amazingly pertinent drawback to either one, I'd love to hear it from folk more experienced with MGs. Particularly interested in how the veg tanned lady bag wears over time and if it sags in any un-likeable way. Anything that can help me decide!!!

The veg tanned leather and saffiano leathers are so different as to be almost opposites. Basically, the saffiano helps the bag not show wear, whereas the veg tanned is supposed to show wear. So it kinda depends on your style and philosophy. For a friend who freaks at scratches and color changes, she loves saffiano because it looks pristine for years. Owning a veg-tanned bag would give her a nervous breakdown. But for someone who loves leather getting naturally softer and having more character over time, saffiano (being a stamped leather), would remain frustratingly unchanging.
