I'm going to bring the bag to Barneys tomorrow :( hopefully they can get me another one.. I preordered mine and got it in the mail today too :/

Well...I have good news and bad.
I had wanted a MG mini bucket flamma for ages but kind of forgot about it when I couldn't find one. But I knew I wanted a red bag. I have a gorgeous red pebbled Celine mini luggage but I prefer shoulder/crossbody so I never wear the Celine. A shame but that's life! I then decided on a red Gucci Disco and ordered one from Gucci.com. Another tPF member ordered the same red Gucci Disco from MyHabitat for $599. rather then the $980. plus tax. Cancelled my Gucci.com order and bought the red one from MyHabitat. FAKE! When I did some research several members on tPF bought fake Gucci Discos from several sources. I think they are the super fakes we hear about. I was furious! I needed a red bag!!! Then I remembered my first love and contacted PS Dept. Within an hour Kelsey found a mini flamma bucket. I should get it by the end of the week. Sometimes God works in mysterious ways...what's meant to be, will be!
I'll post pics when the bucket arrives [emoji173]️[emoji485][emoji12]

Hi Guys,

I'm new to the forum and a new MG holder. I just received a Black Flamma Saffiano bag from Barney's. I had never seen one in person before and the bag is beautiful!!!

I knew it was going to be stiff from reading reviews and such but I don't think I anticipated just quite how stiff it would be. It's almost to the point of awkward when you wear it. Does it get softer at all? Am I better of with the Veg tanned leather bag? Do those soften more than the saffiano?

Sorry for all the questions it's just that this bag is so ridiculously hard to get and I want to make sure I get the perfect one for me! :)

The veg tan does become more malleable if that makes sense, whereas the saffiano will probably remain that stiff forever. The veg tan leather maintains its structure but with constant wear, the leather softens a touch and the leather resting against your body mah "pop" in, for lack of a better word. It makes the bag look less awkward on you. If that doesn't make sense I'll post a pic of my bag. Veg tan scratched quite a bit, but on black it's not as noticeable. I've seen quite a few veg tan reg black/flamma buckets out lately so you may be in luck if you think veg tan is for you!

Thanks so much! I would love to see your pictures. Did the black change colour at all like the lighter colours tend to do?

I'm so torn! I actually thought I was getting a Veg Tanned. But Barneys called and said they had the Saffiano available. So I jumped on it. But it's just so stiff! I was hoping someone on this forum would have the saffiano and be able to comment if it gets better.

Can you use a cream or anything to break the bag in?

I also got the email that the MG store is being relaunched next week. The bag I really wanted was the Black Royal. But I know that those will sell out immediately so I shouldn't chance it and just grab the veg tan on OC now.

Hmm... I just got a saffiano mini bucket from Barneys last week and also have a vegetable tanned bucket to compare it to (though I'm trying to sell the vege tanned as it's unworn). From my experience, I was surprised that my saffiano was actually not as stiff as the vegetable tanned. I noticed the vegetable tanned one is slightly "noisier" than the saffiano due to stiffness. Already the part of the saffiano that rests against my body pops in, so I don't think it's as intensely stiff, at least not mine. That said, I personally don't like the popping in, but it's not noticable :P

This brings me to another point... where are all the saffiano owners out there? Would love to see your bags! ;)

I forgot to ask, which veg tan leather bag combo do you have?

Received my first MG Mini Bucket in Black/Ballerina and found a line/dent across the back of the bag. SA told me that this is how natural leather is, there will always be some imperfection. Is this true and is it acceptable? Looking forward to your opinion.
