So...as I was leaving the house earlier my bag got swiped by the door which left a three inch long scratch across my beautiful black/ballerina bucket bag. 
It's pretty deep but luckily it didn't cut through the leather. I just thought I'd share my sadness here since no one in my life seems to care haha. My second bucket bag will arrive tomorrow... perfect timing.

If there's as scratch put some leather conditioner on it and it'll diminish the appearance of the scratch. If it's one of the vegetable tanned leathers like brandy or cammello, I would exercise caution because the conditioner might make the leather darker.So...as I was leaving the house earlier my bag got swiped by the door which left a three inch long scratch across my beautiful black/ballerina bucket bag.
nice!!Hi everyone. I am new to MG. One of my fellow tpf'er friends made me aware of the brand and how cute the bucket bags are. I love all the pics and info in this thread. I tried a regular size bucket but it looked too large on me so I was able to get my hands on a mini mini. I am a little under 5' tall. I hadn't seen too many pics of the mini mini so here is mine. It looks very normal size on a very short person. I have not had an opportunity to try a mini size but I do like this mini mini.
what essentials are you able to fit in the mini mini?
thinking on either a mini or mini mini as i already have the regular and the backpack
Hi all, I bought my mini white/blu bucket on a short trip last weekend. It was the only only bag I brought along with me, hence it was thoroughly used for 4 days straight. Thought I might share my thoughts on it which might be helpful to those considering a white/blu, different leathers, or size.
1) I am 5 1", here is how it looks on me, across the body, my favourite way to wear it.

2) I find the straps slightly too long over my shoulder after adjusting it to the shortest length, When I put my hand in the bag, I can't feel the bottom of the bag, which makes it difficult to reach for small items.
3) RAIN! My bag and I got rained on and the water spots looked blue after I found shelter. I think it might be due to the thin calf coating and the interior dark navy showing. It was not pretty! However, after the bag dried, the spots were gone! Not a single mark!
4) After extended wear, the tie straps get loosened and you lose the nice gather at the top and you need to re-tie the ribbon. Might be fine if you tie it another way like how the nice ladies here have demonstrated.
5) Carrying it crossbody meant that the back of the bag was against my hip all the time and it sort of caved in at the back which had to be re-adjusted every time you take your bag off.
6) The corners of the bag is slightly grey after all that use but nothing a little cleaning can't solve!

LOL! 😂 I feel you!! I feel like I'm kinda crazy the way I baby my bags, but then I come on here and I realize I'm not the only one haha. but that's why we're here on TPF right? Because if someone will understand, it's us! 😊 congrats on the second bag; what color? Take pics please
And regarding the scratch, it may also help to condition! But it helps to think that the scratches will help give it character and lend to a nice patina!

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you cam buff out the scratch to make it less noticeable. These bags are very delicate and are prone to scratching/damage. However, when they are broken in, they look fantastic, so wear it as a badge of honor.

Scratches are very noticeable when the bag is new (and when the scratch is new), but they will fade over time and fall back into the leather if that makes sense. DOn't worry too much about it. It will become less noticeable for sure.

You could also try to condition it, which might help for it to blend in with the rest of the leather, or a little black shoe polish in that area.
