I think for a petite person, it would be fine. It did not fit comfortably under my arm. I liked the size of the bag itself though. I love my larges though! I either use a zipped bag organizer or throw a pretty scarf over my stuff so you can't see directly into the bag.

I thought about getting a scarf for this very reason too. Does it seem to work? Its funny I think I would LOVE the large tote SOO much more if it had some sort of hook to secure the top somewhat. I just wore mine out earlier and I STILL can't believe how lightweight it is. The straps are broken in now too. Its so comfy.

Help! I want to buy a MG bag when they restock on the 14th, but I cannot decide which bag to buy!!! Especially since they're limiting it to one bag per customer!

What I've been considering:

1) A large black backpack. I'm still in school (law school to be exact, at least one more year) so I think this could be a practical choice, as I hate carrying around a backpack plus another big bag. These seem stylish enough to double as an everyday bag too. Anyone use it for this? What about size, can it fit a 13" macbook air?

2) A mini bucket bag. I've though about getting a black on black; a black with the ballerina (light pink) interior; a cammello with a royal (blue) interior; and a red on red.

3) Now I'm also into some of the mini canvas backpacks.

I think my problem is that I need to fulfill so many needs right now. I need something for everyday for lugging around my essentials (phone, cards, sunglasses, chapstick, water bottle, etc.), but I also want something nice enough to wear with a suit for work, or when I have to go to court, etc.

I can't comment on the backpack, but a canvas is great for lugging around the essentuals.
It does sound like you need 3 different bags though.

I am currently in law but I don't think the MG bags are appropriate for court / work, particularly the bucket bag, especially if your workplace is quite formal. so I would say go for the backpack to satisfy your immediate need!! hope this helps!
