HI all!!

I am new to the MG family and after 3 tries, I finally acquired a bucket bag in Rosa. :D

However, after only wearing it a few times, I have noticed color transfer on the backside of the bag (the side that faces my body). Would anyone be able to assist me with how to remove these stains? There is mention of a couple leather conditioners in some of the comments above, would this remove the stains and protect the bag going forward?

I appreciate the assistance! TIA! :smile1:

Anybody ever use kiwi on veg leather? I am excited to get my black bucket, but have no clue if I can protect it. I have used kiwi on LV vachetta and never had a problem. Also, is there a way to prevent the black rubbing off on to white clothes? Does this not happen? Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Getting my first bucket today in brandy avion. I've read through a lot here but want to make 100% sure that I'm doing the right thing. Will apple conditioner be the only product I need or should I get a couple of apple products? Thanks so ,ugh!

With my new Camello bag, should I:

1. Spray w protector before using it, use it, then condition when needed?

or

2. Condition first, then protect over that, then start using it...

How often are you all conditioning/protecting your bags?

Thanks!
s

Just use leather cream when it looks particularly scuffed up - mainly on my brandy bucket, rarely on my black bucket (although shoe polish on the corners of the black works wonders when it's been a bit knocked around). If your worried about marks from rain etc protect it first but it might stop the patina as reported by some people who bought from la prendo in Singapore (where they reportedly pre treat the bags)

ok, so I'm asking for a little bit of patience! I have a learning disability which makes it challenging for me to process a lot of material at the same time. I have read through this entire thread and feel more confused than ever. I have used apple gard products in the past and am just wondering if someone could help me out and let me know which apple product(s) to buy and if they will work on the brandy. thanks so much; my head has been spinning from all of the info and I'm trying to process it all....

after coating with Blackrock leather and rich...ImageUploadedByPurseForum1451843316.487783.jpg

The scratches appear less obvious and the bag gets a deeper sheen. I honestly don't mind the imperfections and the totes are truly my workhorse bags, so I am fine with the markings. This may not appeal to everyone though.

Guys, I have 5 mansur bags (2 large totes, 2 buckets, 1 baby bucket), all black with a red, marina, or blu interior and the absolute best conditioner hands down is Leather Milk. I will condition them once every other month to keep them a rich brilliant black that actually GLOWS. My process is simple but effective, it's like giving it a mini moisturizing facial, but it WORKS. Leather milk is best because it has natural ingredients that bring out the natural beauty of these italian leathers that the Mansur girls use. Besides the leather milk, I only use products that I would use on my own face to care for this leather. It makes it more durable and less "dry" looking. not just that, I have seen the leather milk actually condition and make scratches TOTALLY DISAPPEAR. So do not waste your money on any other leather conditioner. I think this conditioner also works well with the camello and brandy colors because I've recommended it to friends who own these colors and they ay that it actually has helped protect the bags from staining and splotching.

Even the brand new mansur bags look a little parched but they look gorgeous after I perform this step by step below. If you follow the below I guarantee that it will do WONDERS to your mansur and keep it looking better than new, longer.

1. Take a baby wipe (I like using organic ones that I use on my face, these ones here because they clean without stripping and messing with the pH ) to wipe off any excess dirt or grime from daily use.

2. Spritz rose water. I use this kind because it doesn't have preservatives that might funk up the process http://sbeauty.me/ogJtjk7rG (I also use this same rose water to blend my makeup!).

3. If you order Leather Milk here, it comes with a soft round cushion cloth that's a little spongey in the center. Carefully apply about a tablespoon amount into the center of the cloth and slowly work the conditioner into the exterior of the leather in a round buffing motion. At first it might seem like you have too much, just spread it around the bag and it will sink into the leather, keep doing this until you start to see that quenched glow. Now the cloth will begin to look a bit black, don't worry, it's not stripping your bag of its color, this is just excess dye that's coming off. Your bag is going to look rich and gorgeous once it dries. You might need to use another teaspoon amount to get the rest of the area if you have the large tote size.

-Don't forget to go over the straps if you have the bucket or cross body (-applies to the Lady backpack coming out this summer!!) because these straps will have a tendency to dry and crack before the rest of the bag because you're constantly bending this leather.

4. Clear some space in your closet and let it hang dry on a hanger. If this isn't possible, let it dry on some dry tissue paper or paper towels.

IMPORTANT: If you have a tendency to wear lots of sunscreen or makeup that gets on the bag it's important that you make sure to wipe these off of your mansur with a baby wipe shortly after they happen. I have seen bluish sunscreen sink into the leather and be near impossible to get out of the black bags, especially if they haven't been conditioned as above yet. Just carry around a pack of baby wipes or consider changing up your sunscreen ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

TIP: I love the samorga bag organizers, these will keep your keys and pens from scratching the interior color and keeping the inside looking brand spanking new, much longer than otherwise. I've been in touch with the samorga people about having Mansur tote and bucket interiors custom made, hoping they will regularly produce them for us Mansur fans.

I hope all of this helps! Let me know what you guys think of the above!
Was there an organizer that you recommend for the regular bucket bags?

My Cammello wallet after conditioning with Bick 4 and waterproofing with Kelly's Water Protector. Splashed a little water on it to test it out (#1). Wiped the droplets off after 10 minutes (#2) and then waited another 10 minutes (#3). Looks like new!

Do we think I can save this bag, or is it too far gone? It's on ebay for a price I can almost afford.

It looks pretty bad too me. I guess it depends what the stains are, and how much the discoloration bothers you. The seller claims she "thinks" it is water? If it is oiled based, you will not get the stains out. I don't think it is a great bargain to be perfectly honest. Perhaps you should just save up a little more for a new bag?
