I don't think it'll be flashy! If anything it's a nice accessory! I think the Damier Ebene would look nice or any of the print actually. You can always make it more masculine by adding a manly charm or luggage tag or even thick brown canvas straps (if they sell them) to make it look more like luggage....just giving some ideas. Good luck on your LV speedy adventure!

One of my favorite quotes is from Mark Twain who said "To succeed in life, you need two things: ignorance and confidence." I believe you have the confidence and style to carry the Speedy and just ignore anybody who thinks otherwise. Life is really too short to concern yourself with what others might think about your appearance. Go with what makes you happy!

A 40 would work fine, I wear my Damier speedy 35 all the time, although I use a Utah leather keepall strap on it (to wear it cross-body), my SA gave it to me for free. I hook it onto the hardware of the handles. Hopefully it won't damage the bag over time, but so far so good! (straight)

I'm a 18 year old guy using a Speedy 40 as an everyday bag. And I love it, I get loads of compliments and the bag looks definitely masculine. I added a luggage tag (see my photo album) to make it more manly, but I even use it without the luggage tag. Go for it, you won't regret it =D

hey im a straight guy who carries a speedy 40, 35, 30 and in all different patterns and im also average height (5'11.5') and all it matters is your confidence... i would suggest to you dont carry it on the crook of your arm, handcarry it, it would look somewhat more masculine... and also with the speedy 40 make sure dont load it up to the max its gonna be really heavy and eventually you will get sick of carrying the bag... oh you need to have some sort of organization skills as the 40 is HUGE, like you will be digging through your bag just to get your keys or something so you might need to have little bags inside the 40 itself so you wont 'lose' stuff inside your bag...

you will look great with your speedy 40 as it can be dressed up or down, all it depends is your confidence and if people make fun of you or stare at you, all you have to do is hold your head up high and just ignore them... i get these stares all the time and get called gay and stuff but i dont care, its good to be different and unique so i would say go for your speedy 40 you can rock it... oh look at the clubhouse "Men Carrying Speedys" and you will get an idea of how guys here rock their speedys!

haha its ok a clubhouse is practically all the members of tPF can post pics of there bags, shoes, etc of the same kind together so they can be in a club, hence club house.... its ok you are new it will take you a while to get all the terms and lingo around here... we speak a different language LOL but here is the club house i was talking about!
