Maison de beaute Marseille bags- any experience?

I bought two Toulouse leather luxe totes, in red and silver. I am not sure whether they are leather because I thought real leather had to be stamped or something and these bags are not. They seem to be made solidly but time will tell. If they are fakes, they are clearly overpriced, and I should have checked the reviews first. Returns seem to be a problem but at this point, I am not going in that direction. They are adequate for work and I can take a tax deduction, anyway, which is helpful! Gina R: How are you sure they are leather and not fake leather?

I ordered from this company based on someone else's recommendation. I should have done my research FIRST, not after. Hindsight, etc. First thing I noticed is that when I received Tracking Information it was written in Chinese. Second set of tracking info and from then on was in English. But nowhere does it say where it is actually coming from. Just where it CURRENTLY is. When the bag arrived, I noticed that there was a second shipping label over the first and the first was written in Chinese. I searched that bag up and down, inside and out and there is NO TAG of any sort that says where it is made. NOTHING. There is a small generic "B" tag attached by a chain to the bag (company logo). I did a brief online search and couldn't find any info on the company. Having said all this, the bag IS leather and is well-made. It is worth the sale price that I paid for it. It is irksome that the company is advertising a "made in France" ideal, saying they are made to order when they clearly are not. I will get good use out of the bag. I also ordered a wallet and while it is made reasonably well, it is not as nice as the bag. It IS leather and I'm hoping that with use it will improve.

I just received my Toulouse Leather Tote, and it not at all what was advertised. It is not handmade in France. It is a knock off from China. It looks pretty good, but the chemical smell is so bad I can't possible use it. If anyone has a suggestion on how to get rid of the smell I would appreciated it. This is also available on numerous websites for less than $50.00. NOT AT ALL HAPPY
Beware of this company! It's a scam and overpriced! I ordered Provence Signature Tote from this "company" last Dec, and it arrived with no receipt after almost 3 weeks of waiting. The bag was not bad except that the lining is made of cheap material and so it doesn't hold things in the right places because it's not attached directly to the bag inside. Nevertheless I told myself that this can be my everyday bag since it's very spacious. After justifying the $119 that I paid, I was shocked to see exactly the same bags in Amazon priced at $29 and $50 form different sellers. I couldn't believe my eyes that I grabbed my tote to check every detail. I was so pissed off! I'm pretty sure that all their products are made in China, reason for the long deliver time frame. They lure people in facebook with well done photos of the bags and the pretentious french names. Another thing, there is not one negative review on their home page which is so unreal no matter how good a product is. I will not stop writing about their scam in different consumer sites!

I feel exactly the same way. TOTAL FRAUD

I must be lucky, because I prchased the Metz bag in forest green and I could not be happier. I own a number of very high end bags and this bag is of equal quality. Exactly as described and as pictured. Good luck whatever you decide.

You are wiser than I! I was duped by this attractive bag at what I thought was a reasonable price (if of good quality). It is poor quality. Not leather, it smells of chemicals. I will write it off and donate it. Perhaps worth the $25-50 that others say they see these bags for, but not over $100.

Weird origin of the goods, weird funnelling strategies, and a thread kept running exclusively by new posters with zero TPF activity elsewhere, all either raving about this "brand" or else totally detesting it.
Caveat emptor...?

I also was taken in by the ads and pictures,
When the bags ( 2 unfortunately ) finally arrived, the chemical smell was very obvious and the ‘ leather’ felt like plastic leather. The edges are raw and the linings are cheap. There was no paperwork with the bags, I shall suck up the cost of these cheap and nasty bags and donate them. Please be careful and do not be duped into thinking you are buying a decent leather bag.
Nasty, cheap and wouldnt even buy if they were £10.

The title says it all! It is a British UK-based brand popping up online; nice totes for work etc...wondering whether anyone ever bought one? Would love to read a review!
They sent me a wallet made out of cheap leather and I returned it immediately in their packiing material. I'm out $70 and don't have the wallet which I sent back. Beware of this company. I tried very hard to get my refund but the way the work, they made it impossible. I Don't know about their other products, but judging from the wallet they sent, they are kind of cheap-looking.

bought 7 bags from maison de beaute in the past 6 months. all very good quality , especially the Valentino knock off purse. Would totally recommend. My experience with them has been great.

You must work for the company. I ordered from them, returned their cheap wallet, and never got refunded my $70. No money and no wallet. They're bogus. Make it impossible to get a refund, on purpose.

I would like to know what sites to post my complaint, to make sure others aren't ripped off like I was. I returned their item and never got my refund. This appears to be a deliberate policy. The wallet was very cheaply made and definitely not worth the $70 i paid them which they kept along with the wallet I sent back.

Unfortunately, I returned the cheap wallet they sent but never got the refund for the $70 I paid them for it. What a ripoff company.
