When I expressed my interest in a Kelly last year. I gave my SA my top 3 choices and order of preference. I finally got offered my holy grail Kelly bag two weeks ago, ie my number 1 option in the exact specs requested. Question I have now is, how do I mention to my SA about my next wishlist which is option 2 and 3 on the initial list I sent him? Is there a nice and not awkward way to ask whether I can waitlist for my next Kelly bag? Or do I have to wait for them to ask me what's next for me? Or will they still have a record of my 2nd and 3rd option and know that that's next on my list? What if I'd like to change it a little?

It's been my experience that my SA wants me to prioritize what I want. He knows what the store is getting but does not know when. I specifically wanted the B35 Gris Mouette Verso Birkin and told my SA that was my top choice. When it came in, he said I have your bag. I think its best to be specific in terms of what you want. I gave my SA my top 3 choices.
I do have to focus. So difficult! ;-)

Being direct but friendly has always worked for me - I always advise what I want (exact specs) rather than wait for them to inquire (IMHO, no one will be a better advocate for you then you) while cognizant of limitations on buying certain bags per year. There's no reason not to put your next bag on your SA's radar now. I believe most have come to expect that clients offered a B, K, C will want another one of the three soon enough. [I had a great relationship with my former SA (she has since left H, sadly) and had handed her a list of the 6 Birkins I wanted - which I had as my limit - and we systematically check them off - I'm picking up my fourth shortly].

I think you should bring it up on what your next bag is. My Sa asked me what I wanted next, I've mentioned in the past I wanted a K32 and possibly a B30. However, I know I need to narrow it down to my top 3 choices

Her mannerisms when we spoke about my visiting other H stores, especially because I visit the BH store often and they have great inventory. My SA was clearly relieved when I told her that I looked but I didn't buy. I've known her for years and can read her very well.

She also goes out of her way to hold items for me, find items throughout the country and transfer them for me and provides excellent service in general.

This then is to be rewarded with loyalty. Like it was mentioned above, it is a slightly different system in some other countries and I am actually encouraged to buy the items I want, which will fit me because the stores do not always order my size, cannot transfer items and SAs cannot always do searches for certain categories. Of course when they can, I do purchase the items on arrival and I try to shop at only one store where possible.

I wanted to get everyone's thoughts on sending my SA flowers. I recently got "the call" and wanted to do something to show her my appreciation. Are flowers okay to send? Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I adore flowers, but for my SA I go with a nice box of chocolates. The SAs can only accept something that can be shared among them all, so to me food is both easiest and probably most popular. I can attest that in every job I have had, people love chocolates, cookies, cupcakes, etc.

Congrats on getting "the call"!

Had anyone had any experience w telling their SA what they want and then your SA tells you the have certain items and then sends you emails asking about other colors and bags? I am confused. I feel like almost giving up. I feel bad saying no I don't think that will work or this. I just know I won't wear it in those colors. Sigh [emoji17]

I think your SA is either a) trying to hint that you need to spend on other items or b) simply introducing a wider range of items in case you might be interested. It depends on the store policy. We know certain stores can only offer you the bag of your choice after you fulfill a certain criteria/ spend. Not all stores operate like this.

Hmm she did have what I want and then later sent another email saying oh what about this? Then another email saying what about a Constance? I don't really want a Constance now. Maybe after a K. I don't want to buy something I don't want just because it's a K or C

Thanks so much! Definitely going the food route :-)

Did the SA say that they had the items that you wanted in the store now, or just that they were coming in soon? I think sometimes the items the store orders don't come in when they are expected, or other SAs speak for them first, and then the SA tries to give you something else in case you might be satisfied with another item. I agree you should just buy what you want.
