For advice on how to obtain a B/K/C please go to the reading room in the Reading Room The Newbie's HOW DO I GET A BIRKIN (or other bag) Reading Room

For advice on how to shop at your local store please do a search in Hermes Shopping sub-forum and look for your store/region/country.

I have a friend who is a vip at her home store and also shops a lot when she’s in Paris. She was offered an exotic when in Paris and accepted it not thinking it would show up on the US profile. Upon her return to the US, her SA texted her and congratulated her on her new purchase and then proceeded to tell her she was done with her QB offers for now until the next cycle. So…. I think that some stores are linked globally and some aren’t.

My SA has always said what happens in Paris stays in Paris, so I think if they want to offer you a bag, they will, and if they don’t want to, they won’t. I go to Paris two times a year. My acct at FSH is under the same name as my local maison in the US.

In 2022, I was offered and purchased two QB from Paris and one from my local store (all SAs knew about them). In 2023, I rejected at least two QB offers from my local store and accepted one QB from Paris. If Dior and Brunello can track my sizes and purchases in Asia, Europe, and the US, I assume that Hermes could too… if it wanted to do so.

ETA: I have a good regular relationship with my local SA and my FSH SA. My spend at FSH is minimal compared to local. My local spend is about 5X per accepted bag offer on average. Spend includes both DH and me; we both shop RTW and St Louis crystal

I was told by my SA that they can see only if you bought a Kelly or Birkin, they cannot see which one you got nor any details about the bag. They also cannot see any items that you purchased abroad outside of the Kelly or Birkin. So, yes, if the store wanted to count a European QB as against your US profile they could although in my experience it has had no impact on my ability to purchase QBs in the US

Thank you for the insight. Although, it doesn’t really make much sense that they would know what type of bag was purchased, but not the specifics of that bag. It all seems a little too obscure to me. Who knows!

There is a digital counter for “K/B” (literally labelled that) on each client profile. When the client buys one, it increments for the season. This also goes to prove that there is no such thing as “store specific quota bags”; “K/B” is clearly defined worldwide within their computing system.

Thank you for this! So interesting and informative 🙏

I am invited to a jewelry event by my SA and it's the first event I've ever been invited. I was told not to feel pressured to buy anything during the event but I am not sure if SA truly means this. Should I reject the invitation if I do not plan to buy anything?
If you're not planning on getting anything, I'd thank them and say I'd be open to future invitations to events. They have sales goals I think.

When I was with my friend from The US in one of the London stores 2 weeks ago she was purchasing some scarves and the SA asked for her details.
To my suprise her purchase history came up both in NYC and France (where she also has a home).
I was actually pretty gobsmacked to see that they not only had her profiles but also all her purchases...

I’d like everyone’s input on this- besides working with your SA, have any of you created a relationship eith the store manager? I ask bc during my last visit, I was offered a wishlist item and as I was taking care of payment, the store manager was helping my SA check me out etc. We got to chatting and we introduced ourselves. He was so lovely and since the store was closing he was there with my SA to walk me out.

Was thinking of sending him a thank you email. Thoughts?

My SM assisted me my second trip into the store because my SA was swamped. I had no idea who she was and was already so nervous about shopping at H lol. Even after the SM told me not to worry and that any sale would be put under my SA's name (I'm sure I was oozing anxiety and she could see it all over my face, hah), I was still super nervous and only picked up a couple things that day. I wrapped up as my SA freed up and then my SA told me that was her boss helping me :facepalm:The SM gave me her card and I texted her thank you afterwards.

I say hi every time I see her in store and I recently shot my SM a text asking if she would be willing to assist me since my SA was on leave. She was able to tell me the date my SA would be back, so it was really helpful to have some sort of relationship with the SM!
