I’ve met a really nice a sales assistant at a location but I found out they’re just assistants to SA’s, so they’re technically not an SA. Should I still maintain a relationship with them? Because they can technically look for items/bags. Or should I just find a SA to work with?

????
acorns become oak trees
you need to be recognised by and nice to as many of the staff as you can
the person you gravitate towards will evolve naturally
don't try to be clever and manipulate
that is the route to disaffection

I’ve asked the person if they were ever interested in being an SA and they said no. I noticed I had a random SA on my receipt and didn’t know another random SA if I were to buy another item from them. So, I’m trying to find a designated SA as my go to so I won’t have multiple SA’s on my acct for the same location.

Is this a European store? From my experience the interns/assistances are only at the store temporarily- maybe a couple months to 6 months max and won't be at the store long. They are always so helpful and eager to help and they would tell me honestly they are just interning and I won't see them again on my next visit. They can definitely put in a good word for you to the regular staff though!

No, this was in San Francisco. I was visiting and met someone really nice/helpful so I bought something with them and hoping to build a relationship. However, I noticed on my receipt that there was a different SA name on it and they gave me a card so I thought they were an SA. I guess they have people as assistants to SA's. I got something again, but this time from an actual SA, however they didn't speak much, not sure if I should try to start a relationship w/ them.

Sorry to be blunt but don't bother with assistants as they will not be able you get you what you want ... which is a QB and other desirable bags. Next time you go to the store, just say you are browsing and try to interact with different SAs like asking the closest SA in RTW or shoes or silks, etc. about styles, size and colors. Observe how SAs interact with you, with other customers and among themselves. Once you find the SA you feel most comfortable with, let them know you like the H brand and ask if he/she can be your SA on future purchases. Good luck.

QQ - has anyone been contacted by your SA of stuff that came in asking if you are interested? I've gotten messages of RTW, jewelry and shoes in the past week. It is really nice of my SA to think of me and I will stop by if I like the items but seems be happening too frequently. If you are wondering, none have been for bags and my boutique has already met their monthly target 2 weeks ago and yearly target 3 months ago. Am i been baited?

Unsure what you mean by being baited. They're a store and they're going to want to sell you stuff. In return you buy the stuff you like. No one should be forcing you to buy anything.

Hawaii stores have had low inventory with “nothing to sell” reports my SA so not recently. Previously when they had things to sell and when items of interest came up, the SA would reach out.

New to H but wanted clarity on this topic: does online spend with website count for location specific prespend?

Guessing no.

Friend wants a tie and just want to be sure I’m approaching this correctly for QB later on

Assuming ties (RTW?) help a little given the category

Online spend doesn’t count towards prespend. It could even go against you when a qb is up for consideration and the SM sees on your profile that you’ve been shopping online rather than in store.

Not sure about ties contributing towards rtw.

My husband treated me to a B25 from JuliaRoseBoston and I’m so excited to accessorize it.
I’ve made other small Hermes purchases in the past (several Orans, cosmetics) but on on their website. I have an appointment next week to look for some twillys, wallet and hopefully a Pegase. I’m also interested in some belts, shoes and some tableware.
Inevitably they will look up our account and see that we didn’t purchase the Birkin from Hermes but I do plan on bringing my Birkin I hopes to more thoughtfully accessorize it.
Does anyone here have any idea how I should handle this? I don’t want them to think that it’s fake. I also don’t know how SAs feel about preloved bags so I’m worried about being upfront about it. Should I just tell them so was a gift from a family member or would that be even worse? Should I just tell them where I got it?
Sorry if this seems amateur but I would really like to build a sincere connection with an SA and build my Hermes collection over the years to folks. I’d hate to do or say anything that hinders this.
