For advice on how to obtain a B/K/C please go to the reading room in the Reading Room The Newbie's HOW DO I GET A BIRKIN (or other bag) Reading Room

For advice on how to shop at your local store please do a search in Hermes Shopping sub-forum and look for your store/region/country.

Personally, I would let them know that you acquired the bag already and to just let someone else have it to sell or offer.
I ran into a similar scenario where an an advisor had told me if I wanted a bag in color X size Y and hardware Z; I kid you not, the very next day I was just browsing another Hermes location in the state and I asked about a bag and offered color X size Y and hardware A. I bought it and a few weeks later, I get a call from the first advisor on the other side of the state and let me know the bag came in for me and if I can pick it up. I felt so bad that they went through the effort to holding the bag or securing it for me on the upcoming inventory. I said I wouldn’t be able to since I just bought one the other day at a different location.
I don’t think they take offense, but perhaps it would be good to advise them so that you can continue to have a good rapport with them should you choose to down the road.
Note to this day, I still see both advisors and shop often, though my wallet may need a break as both locations are just opposites when it comes to stocks like I can go to both places and they won’t have what the other has and it’s funny to find what I want in one and what I need in the other.
I think with that my relationships with the two locations are good. We generally have things to talk about even if it’s not too personal and our rapport I feel is on the good spectrum enough so that I was offered another bag within a few days of getting offered a Birkin at another location.
Just be true to yourself though, if you feel a bit of guilt on hiding a bag you love and want to use then it’s probably best to come clean. Otherwise if you can totally just go in the store and never mention it, then that’s fine too. Think it’s all on personal preference (: good luck and definitely enjoy your bag!
Thanks for taking the time to comment on this! Really appreciated your advice! Maybe I’ll play it by ear and just order the twilly online.

Hi! I’m looking for some advice please … I just started a relationship with a SA, and bought two pieces of fine jewelry and a scarf in my first visit. He asked me if there was something I was looking for specifically and I told him I wanted a bolide, so he looked up the bag and saw that there was one coming into the store that no one was tagged for yet and then put my name down for it. A month later, I actually found a pre-loved bolide, in the color that I wanted and bought it. I’d really like to go into the store and try out some Twilly’s to go with the bag, my question is, should I go in and tell him I bought a pre-loved and want to shop for a twilly to go with it?? Or should I just shop for it on hermes.com and never bring up the pre-loved and never bring the bag to the store??? Sorry if this is an obvious question but I don’t really know the etiquette!!!
Why should the joy of shopping be done in hiding and fear of being discovered? As a spending customer, one can shop whenever and wherever the opportunity arises. My suggestion is to let your SA know that you found the matching spec bolide in the resale market and had to have it right away. This way your SA: (1) can save time tracking/checking for you and give to another client and (2) you ain't kidding when you want to buy something. Mention to your SA you want to bring the bolide to find a matching twilly. A good SA should be happy for you.

Hi all, I am wondering if there's a polite way to tell your SA that I am on the ban island... I was invited to check out new season items but I am not in the position to buy anything now (unless it's a bag offer). I don't wanna go in and waste my SA time but I am worried if she is going to surprise me with a bag offer (since I am way over spend ratio and have not been offered a bag this year). Any thoughts are welcomed. Thank you very much!

Be polite but to the point.

"Thank you for thinking of me, however I am not looking for any RTW at the moment. Please let me know if a bag matching my specs becomes available."

SA's understand. I recently told my SA's that I am done for the year unless something extremely riveting comes in.

I have the same feels, I'm way over and have not gotten a qb offer.

I really don't want to be annoying or sound like a broken record. Also I definitely do not buy things just to get a qb but it would be nice to get one for the year.

Let the SA know. It’s not a big deal. Someone else will pick it up, and if you let him know in time, another SA will be able to secure the bolide that you passed over for someone else. @Hedgehog101 , @lilmermaid264 , I would just say to your SA that you are going to enjoy what you have for now. SAs are in this for the long term. They do understand

ETA: or you could just say, you changed your mind and would like another type of bag. Your SA will see your shopping history on H.com. I would ask him for a few twillies and ask if he would like to get them for you via H.com or not. There’s no wrong answer. But, I think it’s more relaxing not to hide stuff.

My situation is a bit different. I’m also way over and due for 2nd qb for the year but I don’t have any list or anything. I went in last week to pick up some jewelry and my SA flat out said to me and my DH that “since you have never asked for your 2nd QB or any bags at all. Do you want it this year (matter of fact) right now or do you want to wait until next year”. I literally blurted out laughing and told her that I don’t need it yet and I can wait until next year plus I totally understand that she has so many clients that really want it so by all means, no pressure on my end. She smiled and thanked me for being easy and not pressing her.

My point is, just be honest and open with your SA. They will appreciate your honesty and will try to make things happen for you.

I think she appreciate u not wanting any bags right now.

Anyway now is coming to year end. They should have met their sales targets by now and no pressure for to make sales (they may not even have these 2 years as there is more clients than stock to go around for their sale). When there is no pressure, they do not have to release any bag. Waiting until next year….the price will increase 5 to 10%. No issue with anybody who doesn’t want to buy anything….

I’m new to this thread.. I have quick question about QB and offer from SA. I’ve been shopping with my SA for a year, my pre-spend is almost 2:1 and I have a birkin on my wish list since the beginning. I keep waiting but SA never asks me anything about QB. So I have recently asked her about it but she told me that the inventory is very low.

I know that other people are able to get offer QB at the same store. My question is: Does my pre-spend not enough? Or SA doesn’t like me?

I’m not sure is it the right thread to ask. If not, please help navigate my post to the right one.
TIA

It might also depend on the preferred specs of the Birkin you are waiting for and also if there is a podium bag specifically allocated to you. It might really not have arrived yet. A year is not that long to wait in the current situation.

I don’t have a specific color, just neutral. Maybe like you said I just need to be patience.
Thank you!
