Have you successfully received other items via phone order recently? My understanding has been that outside of near VIP clients, for the last two years or so Vegas stores won’t ship leather goods, including SLGs and rodeos. Rodeos especially seem to be help for in person shoppers only, especially for ones picking up their quota bag at that time. I believe the issues you are having is due to store policy not your SA, though the Orans should have been an easy phone order assuming you have a common shoe size.
Thank you for the reply!
Yes I’ve been able to order items such as the Eze sandals, a pillow, a Ulysses journal, a rivale bracelet, 2 men’s shirts, twillys & a few beauty items in the last 2 mths or so via phone orders. Some came from her boutique some she sourced from other boutiques for me.

The Rodeo/Pegasus, Kelly compact, bearn wallets I asked even when I picked up my QB and she said no sorry we have none available:/ but that she will let me know soon as they come in as she has “placed orders for me.”

The Orans I asked specifically for the fuzzy teddy bear ones & chypres I’ve been pretty open as to style/color.
I’m size 37).

**warning long post**

I really like my SA, she is super sweet, kind, down to earth & has a very calm pleasant energy about her.
I shop remotely so I need to travel to my boutique for in person visits but Ive been doing the bulk of my shopping via phone orders with my SA.
I was offered my first QB off my wishlist after 9 mths & approximately 1:1 Prespend, which was an amazing experience!
My question is in regards to purchasing smaller items. It definitely seems like I’m at a big disadvantage not being able to pop into the boutique regularly.
For example one of the first items I requested last year from my SA was a Rodeo or Pegasus charm, after 1.5 years I have yet to be offered one. I told her any size any color, but still nothing. I’ve requested multiple types of SLGS,
: Bastia, Kelly compact wallet, Calvi, Bearn style wallets & cardholders (certain colors requested in the slgs) mini pop H jewelry & gotten nothing offered.
I requested chypre sandals & fuzzy Orans last year and, again, been offered nothing In almost a year. And few other items I can’t even remember at this point. I realize there is stock shortage of course & these are all popular items etc but I do believe in a year-year & a half SOMETHING should have come in? No rodeos, no chypres, slgs, etc? I guess it’s safe to say that they have indeed received these items but they have been sold to in person clients (or perhaps VIPs shopping remotely-I dunno?) since everyone keeps saying that the priority is being given to in person buyers. But it still stings a bit to not be able to at least get some of the smaller items that I reallyyy want just because I’m not there in person. I feel like I’ve built a pretty good relationship with my SA, even though i have only shopped in person 4 times, including picking up my QB, & we seemed to have bonded nicely & have wonderful, kind rapport. I feel like if she could she would get these items for me, So is it possible the SM is not allowing the SAs to allocate these popular items to remote clients when they become available?
As a side note, when we went to Vegas for my bday my husband popped into one of the Hermes boutiques (not my home store location of course) & without any history just simply asked for any rodeos & he was given a choice of 2. He grabbed the Craie one for me. Simple as that. My home store, also in Vegas, hasn’t been able to offer me a Rodeo in 1.5 years lol even when I was there in person. She told me she had some on order & would let me know whenever they came in-never happened. I got a QB but can’t get a charm or slg or sandals, it sounds almost silly.
I guess my question is do I need to just maybe give up on asking for these smaller popular pieces since I’m a remote client?
To be Honest I did get frustrated and ordered a few of these items on H.com when they popped up around my bday. This was after I told her I’d be in Vegas for my bday & asked about a few of the items first. When I realized it wasn’t going to happen I stalked the website and managed to grab a Kelly compact, Bearn key holder & few other small bits. I know this doesn’t count towards my profile & all that, but I definitely gave my SA plenty of time & opportunity to source these items and she has either been unwilling or unable. I still really like her & wish to continue working with her, but I guess I’m just a bit frustrated, disappointed & also confused?
Sorry for the super long rant & thanks for reading!

I only shop via text unless I’m going in for a bag, and I get all the things you’ve mentioned offered to me. I do spend a lot though consistently for years. Maybe you need a longer relationship or to spend more there to get those offers? I’m sure they would rather offer to walk in clients and VIPs though first.

There is allegedly a company wide policy now from corporate security disallowing most leather goods over 2k (I think that’s the number but I can’t recall) from being shipped… but they’ll still ship high value home goods, RTW, and fine jewelry!

Thank you for the reply. Ok, that’s good to know! I started shopping there only about 15-16 months ago. I’m definitely not a big Spender, I’m pretty average I’d say.
It also may not be working in my favor that I’m not one to keep asking for items after my first ask. Only when I wanted to go in I brought it up Bc she asked me to remind her what I was interested in when I came in, so I did, but still was unsuccessful even in person. Interesting enough my SA was telling my husband one of the reasons she offered me my QB was bc I was one of the least pushy clients she’s worked with in that I never asked her for a QB, until she brought it up & asked for my wish list. Once I gave her my wishlist I never brought it up again until she called me with the offer. While it seemed to work in my favor for the QB maybe it’s not so good with other items?

Perhaps she has forgotten about me when the items did happen to come in since they are smaller items, I don’t know? And in person I had bad timing when I got my QB ? I do want to request things and shop with her but I’m not one to push or bring up my wishlist & ask for updates. I just assumed she would let me know, but since I’m not a VIP or in store , I think I’m possibly being forgotten.

I know they are all super busy beyond belief with in person clients and also barrages of texts from everyone. How do you send your “asks” via text? I typically will send a photo as soon as I see something on the runway that I like or snaps from the sneak peaks to make sure it’s on my SA’s radar that I want the item, then once I see it on the website (if it even makes it there) I will send a snap with it carted to show my SA the item’s ref code. I will typically send my SA a couple items in the cart at a time as a shopping list for things I want. I think that helps that I’m making it easier and also making it clear before things are even en route to the stores that I want them. Also, if there are things like chypre on the website that I really want I will snap them up (my SA advised me to do this for those) and I still get the offer for other colors from my SA in those too. Just to be fully transparent, even though I do spend six figures every year at H, there are still some non-bag items that I’m still left pining for and my SA and SM haven’t been able to track them down (Ex plain leather chypre, exotic Pegase, fine jewelry pieces) and for these it’s likely because I waited until *after* I started seeing them out and about to decide that I really wanted them! Food for thought - definitely watch RTW shows to see upcoming items and add things to your list early :)

The SM would prefer Popular items to go to clients that make the trip into the store. However, I’m a cle8nt in good standing and could not get the all black chypres. My SA tried and was able to get a pair for DH lol. I also don’t really nag or remind. And, I don’t really get bent out of shape if something doesn’t materialize. Shrugs :)

I think you answered your own questions already.
1. These easy-to-sell items are given to in-store clients (ie. your husband visiting a random store)
2. There wasn't stock when you were in-store, so your SA couldn't offer it to you
3. SA's don't seem to be allowed to reserve these popular items far in advance.

Popular items are easy to sell. H is probably trying to be somewhat "fair" by making a client come in for these popular items, and not allowing SA's to reserve ahead of time. Essentially, a positive way to see this is they're trying not to make popular items the same as a QB where you have to build a profile to get them, or that there is a quota system, etc.

When the SA says they "placed an order" for you - in my experience, they put your name down for incoming orders of that item to their store. However, if it's a popular item, a lot of SA's do this for a lot of clients. So when the item comes, they still allocate it either based on who was first, or who can come in the soonest, or perhaps their status. I remember wanting to try on a pair of shoes before buying and my SA said that they put my name down, but if I wanted them, I should just do a charge-send with her from H.com in-stores because there is a long list of people who also wanted that item.

I get that you're frustrated, disappointed, and confused but there's not much you can do if you can't make it into the store often and the store is trying to prioritize in-store clients. ): The items will continue to be there, so my best advice would be to continue to check in right before you go, and hopefully your SA can claim the item day-of for you. You should probably stick with this SA bc they offered you a QB and other items already.

I think it all comes down to how much time SA have on their hands flagging down items for each client, which they all seem super busy on a regular basis so I don't have high hope for my SA tagging popular items like the Chypre sandals or rodeo pegase PM for me. I don't even bother to ask her to SLG's nowadays since she told me the boutique doesn't get many pastel pieces, especially with the spotty shipment this year. But I think over the past few months I've developed decent relationship with my SA that she can be quite transparent with me, if I mentioned certain popular items that I want, she would just tell me straight up to try to get one online. However, she did ask me try not to purchase fine jewelry & watches online since that's the department she's in charged of, plus she wants it to go toward my boutique profile so it'll help her get me the quota bags I asked for

What u need to do is have 2 profiles. 1 in ur own name and 1 in ur hubby’s name and have both purchase histories count towards quota bags at 2 different stores.

Different stores have different variety of stock and sometimes it’s easier to get something at 1 store over the other. SAs need to fight or win a “lottery” to get some items to offer their customers. Maybe the stocks came in when your SA is off, maybe she managed to get the items but there r more important customers than you on her list. So, don’t waste your life at this.

I will certainly do that going forward & watch the shows so that I can add items to my list earlier.

When I started shopping with her she told me the best way to send requests was to make sure I had the ref #, if possible.
So from the very beginning I’ve always made sure to find the ref # for everything I request & I also screenshot a pic from the Hermes site of the item. And she’s good about getting back to me to let me know that she is able to order the item or she has also said “no sorry this isn’t possible to even order at this time.”
for example the rodeo/Pegasus, Kelly compact, fuzzy oran & chypre she said that yes she could order for me, but more than a year later I’m still waiting lol

One thing though, if you and husband and more family + shop with one SA you have a bigger profile at the store! My husband used to shop all over but now is loyal to my SA and it pays off for us

I wonder if maybe she forgot while helping her big fish clients and dealing with in store clients! Unfortunately they will all always come first, but I think you could have a bigger profile if your husband shops with her too. Maybe you could tell her that there are a lot of smaller items like shoes etc that you’ve wanted and he’s travelled and purchased them for you, and you’d love to give her more sales and have him shop with her… tell her his name so she can see what he bought, and see what she says! *this can be very helpful if he shops for himself too

My DH and I have always shopped with one SA (everywhere: Hermes, brunello, etc )
It pays off esp bc he is the charming one that SAs like lol

I think it’s a double edged sword to have 2 profiles with 1 SA. Some SMs do not like such arrangement. The relationship might be seen as circumventing the 2 quota bag restriction per customer and considered to be 1 instead.

This. Also imagine the SA decided to leave H, both gonna have to start over  My previous SA been working at H for over a decade but left because her hubby got a really attractive offer in another state, so the whole family moved.
