It’s not even just this store. I’m not the only one. I hear similar stories across all the stores near to me.
I totally agree that in Asia the shopping experience is very different from other part of the world. It feels like the SA are more driven by numbers here. Building a relationship here is being able to keep spending whereas in other part of the world it is getting along with SA, SA understanding your preference etc. I can reject a certain colour for non QB yet for QB i’m offered that colour again

That said, I still appreciate my SA as I do see her go all the way to get the items I requested. Coz it’s really not easy.

However, based on my experience, there is really no magic. Just business.
Of cos, I totally appreciate my SA as well. Just sharing that it is not possible to get a bag offer or any offers just based on relationship and abit of spent. We have to hit a min spend here regardless. At least based on my understanding even for multiple QB, you will have to hit the min spend each time.

Definitely, no getting away from that. Met the quota exceeding 1:1 since Oct last year. Additional purchases requested is for 2nd QB of the year.

I have a question - I want to buy a pair or Oren sandals. However, I live in a city without and Hermes store, so i'd have to order them online and don't currently have an SA. Although I am in no rush, I do eventually want a Kelly and I am wondering whether it would be better to get in contact with Hermes who can send my request to a store - as an 'in' with an SA to begin a purchase history and relationship?

Or, does this not matter and any online orders still matter and contribute to whether I would be offered a bag in the future?

Online orders don’t count towards your in store profile

Hi! In need of some advice and was able to get some great feedback on Hermes Facebook group. I want to see what everyone on here thinks as well. I am now close to 1:1 spend ( non bags, leather goods). I have brought up my wishlist at my initial visit for a birkin but haven’t since. When should I bring it up again? Or should I just wait for my SA to bring it up? I had another great visit with my SA today where I went in and got the rose gold Finesse necklace and at the end of our visit, my SA asked if I was interested in a small crossbody such as a mini Evelyn. She asked that I text her the colors that I’d be interested in. I live in a high competitive area ( Bay Area) and perhaps my spending is not as high as others but I don’t want to miss an opportunity for my dream bag if I didn’t bring it up again. I was thinking of lightly mentioning my wishlist when I text her about my mini Evelyn preferred color choices. Any advice or suggestions?

There’s no single right way, so the key is the most comfortable and natural way for you. It might be sending a picture of something you see on social media, mentioning you’d love a B in such and such leather when you come across that leather in an SLG on a trip, etc. It just needs to be genuinely you.

I realize this is easier said than done with H as the process can be found to be intimidating, so I usually look at how I requested for other items or have engaged at other stores to give me a baseline.

yes I would definitely bring up your wishlist for a birkin (including preferred colors and hardware). SAs don't know what you want and they're probably trying to fulfill wishlists for other clients too so if they don't know you're interested in a B/K, they're not going to think of you when the bag comes in. i sense that some people get intimidated by the process and get shy about asking for quota bags but its just shopping. tell them what you want. :)

Thank you for taking the time out to give me your thoughts. I’m just going to go ahead and text her my wishlist again since she’s asked me to text her color preferences on the mini Evelyn. Finishers crossed :)

Thank you for your advice. I’m leaning more towards sending her a text today and see where things go and you’re right, better to let her know what I want. Do you think it’s ok to tell her on text?
