I wouldn’t buy from a reseller anyway because of the markup. I’m a newbie so love reading these posts. My peeve is how do resellers get the bags then? If Hermes is so particular then it should be very difficult to get these bags as it is for genuine customers. I have a good relationship with my SA And everything I have bought I love. At this point, my store is very competitive and I am particular about the colour I want so I doubt I’ll be seeing any bag soon. I’m not in a rush, however, IMO, the amount I have spent in the store is already equivalent to what I could have spent to buy the bag from a reseller so why blame people for going the reseller route.
May I just gently point out one thing that no reseller can provide, however established, which to me is worth more than any prespend required. That is the peace of mind that the bag and every other item is authentic and some of the money I spend is at least going to the person who made it. Having met the very person who made my most treasured bag, this is now more important to me than ever.
I do hope your SA and your store rewards your loyalty and patience with the bag you prefer. :flowers:

My guess is that other than sending shoppers to queue at the FSH headquarter they play the 'game' as well...
And the mark up you pay and money from re-selling the 'by-product' then gets reinvested...

Very true. I decided to change SA and new store, just because I felt that my old SA will never offer me any bag. No matter how much more i spent, there will be no bag. If he wanted to offer me one, he would have done so already after spending that money.

I think that if you have been a loyal customer and have been actively buying from one SA for six months..and clearly stated that you are in search of a certain bag and was never offered one (of course you might not get the exact specs you asked for but something similar should be offered), then it is time to move on. Either find a new SA/new H store. No amount of money will be enough to get an offer if your SA/SM doesn't feel like offering you one in the first place. The H game is indeed like being "in a relationship and falling in love". It should be reciprocal and must be giving both ways. Any relationship that is one-sided is totally frustrating. Hope you get your dream bag soon.
 
This was what I was told from a few people I’ve chatted with. But whenever I try to bring up my “wish list” or ask can I give my SA specific combos she’s always turning me down. She’s like don’t be specific or else I’ll never get a bag :( I’m in Canada so that May also be why because we get extremely low inventory to begin with compared to the rest of the world? But I do get frustrated sometimes because I feel she might just be brushing it off. But I’m still trying to be patient and hanging in there haha

That sounds crazy to me! You should be able to discuss what you’re hoping for…

I’m also at the TO store and it’s quite frustrating right now. No appointments only walk ins allowed. I’m getting a weird vibe unlike during the pandemic. I’m new to Hermes but now it’s been 6 months and absolutely no sign of any offers. Not even a Bolide. I am hoping it’s just a question of having patience.

Maybe it depends on your home store? Other than quota bags, even during the months when the store was open but operating under COVID restrictions I was able to request specific bags from my SA at my local H. As was the case during pre-Covid days, some bags were immediately available, some I had to wait for but eventually got, and others are on my unicorn list which may or may not ever appear!

I was just asking about a Bolide at my local boutique yesterday...and a Bolide 31 at that. I would totally understand if the smaller sizes weren't available, but a bolide 31?? I was told that ALL bag productions have slowed down, so there was no bolide 31 for me to see. In fact, my SA said she hasn't seen a bolide 31 in a while. My request has been added to my wishlist and my SA will notify me if one comes in.

There are quite a few 31s available on H.com, in case you wanted to buy now.

oh woow, that would frustrate the hell out of me, tbh. Kudos to your patience and thank you for the intel. But on the other hand, you aren't alone, during my last visit I saw a pretty regular customer (whom I've alreday met several times when at H) getting a Kelly and she said " I had to wait for it for 5 years". That left me puzzled, but hearing that all bags... really, Hermès, not funny.
