As others have said it seems to be an issue, also here in Europe. I've been waiting on a scarf and several other items since mid-january, and my SA said they're working on getting them, but it might take a while - if they even get a hold of them

I have been waiting for a pair of sandals for a few month in Europe too. I have already bought several other items during this period (including the same sandals in a different colour:)) and was just informed that my shoes arrived!

Hello everyone! I have a weird question to ask not sure which thread I should go for but here I am. I’ve been trying to “maintain” or “groom” my relationship with my SA but my SA has been telling me to shop online instead? Should I believe in her? As I remembered in some thread someone was mentioning this will be shown in the profile and it will affect the chances of getting BKC. Why is she encouraging me to purchase online instead? I am finding this really confusing.

should I believe in my SA? Or is she not willing to help me get my dream bag?

Please help!:hrmm:
P.s. my recent ask was only baby items and it wasn’t a big amount. But my SA did mentioned to me if I see anything I like online, I should buy it instead?:confused1:

Hi everyone
(Long post)
I would love some advice in my current situation. I’m getting back into Hermes after a 4+ year break. When I did shop, it was a small spend as I was very new & just starting my H journey when my priorities shifted to focus on becoming a mom. Now that my son is older, I’d like to get back into Hermes again.
My dilemma is this:my local store is the very competitive Beverly Hills location. My previous spend was 75% at this store, but not w the same SA. The other 25% was at the Vegas Crystals store while I was on vacation 4+ Yrs ago. My last spend was 2017 at the Beverly Hills store.

Fast forward to 2021, I’d like to start purchasing again. I received the contact info of super super nice SA at the Wynn Vegas boutique a few weeks ago. I sent her a text and she responded back immediately & was very kind & open to working with me.
I’ve asked her for several items: twillies, bag charms, fine jewelry ring that seems to be always sold out. The other items were unavailable, but She immediately had the ring transferred in & it’ll arrive at her boutique on Monday. I’ve also let her know that I’m interested in a lot of other items as well, but that I can work with her on those when I manage to make it to Vegas in the next month or two.
Because she did mention in her initial text that she would be happy to assist me & let her know whatever I’m interested in BUT that it would be easier if I can make it into the store to try on, see things etc in person vs just doing remote orders. So I wanted to let her know that I am interested to come in soon and I can do my larger spends in store & request a few smaller items via remote order. And she is very responsive to my inquiries, even small items like a twilly, to let me know they aren’t available but she will keep an eye out for me.
But I’ve had many people in my ear telling me that the Vegas boutiques have terrible stock & they give preference to their locals vs remote order clients. And that Beverly Hills is very competitive, but that they make up for it by receiving large amounts of stock. I’m not in a rush but of course I would love a Kelly or Birkin & I want a long lasting relationship. So I’ve been toying w the idea of starting over at Beverly Hills & have asked a few lovely ladies here for their SA recommendations & been kindly given a few referrals.
So while I find the Vegas SA amazing I’m not sure if it’s the best long term decision, given I’m such a novice & I’m not able to envision how each scenario may possibly play out.
just want to add, the last Beverly Hills SA I spent with was superrr dismissive & off putting. We were just making small talk with him & the topic of Birkin came up & he immediately was like “oh yeah impossible. Those are always taken by celebrities, big spenders here, if I were you I wouldn’t waste my time trying to get one from this location”and this was after we had said that I wasn’t even in the market for one anytime soon. Sooo yeah that really soured my outlook on the BH store. He was very belittling blunt & rude.
I wasn’t a long term client but my goodness we were still spending with him & we all have to start somewhere .

If you’ve made it this far, thank you so much for taking the time to read i Truly appreciate your time! And am open to any thoughts & advice .

sorry forgot to add this:
Regarding the ring I ordered from the Vegas SA, I’m still interested to purchase it from her regardless of which store I decide to continue with . I really appreciate her time & I also really want the ring. Just wanted to note that :)

Couple of things: I actually appreciate the BH SA being upfront with you about your chances of purchasing a Birkin. He could have led you on despite his knowledge of stock and client service. I think your Vegas SA is just trying to test out how serious of a customer you are. If you are just emailing to find out about stock without an interest in buying anything, it creates more work for him/her with little potential outcome. By showing that you can make it to the store on a semi-regular cadence and purchase items you love, you are showing that you will become a long term customer. Your ring purchase and heading to the store in the next few months should show that well. One last thing to consider, Vegas has customers who jump on a plane to pick up their B/K/Cs within a few days' or weeks' notice. Your SA may also be trying to assess your ability and willingness to do this by suggesting store visits. Head to the Vegas thread to learn more. Oh and congrats on your family!

So about 11 years ago I went into the BH store on vacation and not one single person greeted me. They indeed looked at me, so I know I wasn't invisible, but not one person said hi.

I was dressed very casual, but I was also wearing an H bag (can't remember which one) and had a twilly on my neck. Luckily, I only wanted to look around because the place was huge, but it felt so uninviting.

Later on I went to VCA and they were the absolute best and super attentive. Even went to Cartier and they were really nice and I got a hand written note thanking me for my visit even though I bought nothing there.

The most important thing for me when shopping is how they make you feel. You seem like you have a great SA in Vegas and you are able to make it to the store a few times a year. I would honestly cherish that relationship rather than go to BH and give those snooty snoots my money. Even if you aren't local, building a relationship will make you a regular and your current SA in Vegas seems like an absolute sweetheart that is honest and forthright.

If you like the Vegas SA (as you seem to do) and if you’re willing to make a few trips to Vegas every year as well as fly out there on a whim if a great bag offer comes your way, then I would stay with her and see where it takes you. It’s funny, here on the forum we always hear that Vegas is so much easier than other stores (almost exclusively from non Vegas clients, I might add) and I don’t find it any easier based on other stories I read from clients of other stores so at least your friends seem grounded there, but Vegas does get just as much stock as anywhere else. Remember, more dollars spent from a store’s customer base means more bags allocated to the store so it all evens out (more bags for more customers vs fewer bags but also fewer customers).

I can certainly see your point regarding the BH SA. He did seem like he was a long term SA and he likely didn’t want to bring on any new Clients who would be asking him for quota bags at any point lol I think Bc at the time I was pregnant & a bit hormonal it made me feel so small. His delivery felt a bit harsh but looking back I do believe it wasn’t meant to be personal & that’s just his direct manner of communicating.

Yes! That makes complete sense w the Vegas SA! I respect & appreciate her kind way of going about seeing if I’m serious & my ability to head down there on short notice should that time come, which I would be able to do.

I can’t believe I forgot to add in my Original post. When I made my purchase at the Vegas Crystals boutique back in 2015, a Sapphire Jige clutch, I asked the SA about waitlisting for a Birkin, bc at the time I was under the impression they had waitlists. She was superrr nice & she had me fill out a small firm with my contact info & what I was interested in. Hours after I left the boutique, I received a voicemail from her to call her back as she had something I may be interested in. I called her & she said she had a Birkin 30 grey phw. We went into the store & I sadly turned it down as I didn’t like the dark shade of grey (I don’t know what the color was). So after this I’ve always had it in my head that maybe I would stick w Vegas boutiques vs BH lol but not sure if things have changed since then at the Vegas stores .

Honestly this is such true advice and I hadn't even thought about about bag allocation. I wonder if it's best to be a medium spend customer in an area with a few massive spenders and a wide base of smaller or transient spenders. That way you get the benefit of a good allocation but aren't competing against tons of similar profiles. I'm definitely overthinking this though!

Well there is certainly no more “waitlist” program at any US store (and very very few stores globally, if you believe in them at all). It’s all loyalty (shop with one store and one SA only once you make your decision, which if I’m blunt, kind of has to be the Wynn once you buy the ring there as its recent purchase would likely hurt you at BH if you showed up there soon afterwards, imo), relationship, spending, and not being a pita customer now. Good luck.

Ah yes you said it perfectly, their boutique does feel cold & uninviting, at least it did to myself & my husband as well.
Ive been there a handful of times & the times I’ve made purchases we had to flag someone down after going unnoticed for quite some time. No one greeted us or offered any sort of assistance at all. I hate to even bring this up but We both dress well & are well groomed. I’m always carrying a Chanel bag & have several pieces of Cartier jewelry on, not that it should really matter a customer is a customer. A simple greeting should be a given.
Yes agree! Feeling welcome & valued is so comforting and the Vegas SA has really made me feel wanted & welcome from her very first text. I do feel like I can definitely have a happy relationship & journey with her .
Thank you for your helpful advice!

Does exchanging stuff make SA hate me or ruin my profile? I just bought a pair of shoes and I would like to change to something else because they are not comfy when I come back home and try on again. I’m so worried. :(((

So looks like Wynn will have a new customer come Monday lol
And thank you for confirming about the waitlist! I’ve been a Chanel buyer for 15 years now and I’ve been so used to “waitlisting” for my desired bags. It was eye opening when I started to realize that there is no such thing as a waitlist with Hermes lol

Hi all, I'm new to Hermes but luckily I was able to find an SA that I "click" with. I'm hoping to buy a B or K later in the year and was wondering if it would make more sense to try and get one in Europe or continue on with my home store? I'm having a hard time rationalizing the spending at my home store knowing that I'm paying a 20-30% premium on European prices and wanted to get you guys' thoughts on the matter
While it is always great to save money, there are no guarantees that you will even get a bag offer while in Europe. I too was wanting to get my first Hermes bag in Europe, but with everything going on right now, my husband told me to buy one here instead. I was blessed to have gotten a B30 Togo in Rouge Casaque this past January. I doubt I would have been offered that combo in Europe.

i am one of those vegas out of towner... started shopping there on vacay without considering any quota bag and relationship building at first... but my experience has been wonderful with vegas. Downside is to needing to hop on plane to get the quota bag, but not big deal for me since my state does not have a h store and direct flights are relatively affordable fm my city (mid west)
I would def pick an amazing SA with “low” inventory over a store with high inventory but oK SA
