Hello ladies! I don’t know if anyone posted this before but I was wondering how long does it usually take to get the HG when SA asked for your wish list? I wanted to mentally prepare myself haha:nuts:. After a year of relationship building my SA finally popped the question so I was super excited
I'd love to hear about your relationship building! What did you buy? Which categories? How frequent?

Does the amount reset when we get the B/K or does it reset every year regardless? If I make a purchase in October 2020 and then something in March 2021. Does the October purchase count?

Another example of policies being different between boutiques, managers and even SAs. I can purchase a quota bag without any purchases in between while other SAs have their clients spend 1:1 or 2:1. The only proper answer with H is “it depends”

i think it all depends on how specific styles on your wish list. when I told my SA that I am interested in a hot item, like B25, popular colors, she said to me that "those are hard to come by and will try her best", but once I express my desire to a different size (which honestly better suit my frame), she is more open to more conversations. at the same time, I am not picky with colors.

Exactly what I’ve said too but I don’t think I’ll be able to get it since I’m not vip :yucky:

I'm new to Hermes, so hope the seniors will chip in. I just went to the store to collect an item I reserve from my SA, it's only my 2nd visit. Unfortunately, I was late for 15 minutes and my SA was tied with a customer. She asked her SM to serve me and I also bought a belt. When she asked if I want to see any other things, I declined as I have another appointment. I said I will make an appt with my SA the next time to look at some jewelry, the SM's eye seemed to light up and ask if I want to see it now, but I still declined as I thought besides having an appointment, I should try to remain loyal to my SA. Now I am wondering am I being silly since my SA only serve me one time and wonder I will annoy the SM, and whether it will affect my chance to get a birkin.. On the other hand, I heard SM not supposed to have customers, so I think I am right not to buy high commission items from her? Somemore, the SM didn't give me her namecard, so I think I am right to continue to purchase from my SA?

Also, I am now wondering if the purchases I made are under my SA... Sigh...my fault for being late. Should I ask my SA?

To use your words, although not your context, you are being silly and overthinking this.
Seriously the rate of commission is not your concern.
It should not affect who you choose to allow to serve you.
As you are clearly angling for a Birkin, it is fortunate that you have had an opportunity for the SM to get to know you and you used the magic word 'jewelry'.

Buying table ware and homewear is a always a good idea (disclaimer: of course if you really like them). I totally agree with kiki19's answer. You may get a good prediction from people in the forum who are in your area. H experience seems being not only "it depends" but also "It depends on where you shop". There are many regional H threads in the forum.

Great note.

Thanks! The name on the receipt doesn't looks like my SA's name, so I couldn't resist to ask my SA. Luckily, she said I'm her customer so the sales are under her name.. Thanks so much for your insight, I think you are right. The SM should be thinking about the store's sale and that also explains why she didnt give me a namecard.. Whew.. relief.. And yes, I will continue to work with my SA.

When I lived in a different city, the SM often came out to help me (I was her customer when she was an SA). I think it can't be bad for the SM to know you personally. It got me many bag offers. And an SA always got "credit."

Yes, subsequently, my SA explained to me that I am her customer. So even though her SM served me, the belt I bought still goes under my SA's name. So technically, even if I bought the jewellery with her SM, my SA will still gets the sale... oh well, I was not sure and didnt want to deprive my SA of the commission as I am building a relationship with her.. But no regrets, so far, I am still comfortable with my SA and I think for the long-term, building a relationship with my SA is important.

I am pleased that you got that explained.
Just don't get obsessed with a sense of responsibility to ensuring that your SA gets commission from your purchases.
I understand your intentions but, if you get too focused on the benefits of 'building a relationship',
you could end up with a sense of entitlement and then disappointment if you have to wait too long for, or don't get, what you want.
