Sorry if these are silly questions but are
1. Purchases that count towards your quota bag considered the same thing as purchases that count towards your SA's commission?
2. What does an item making a part of your profile mean? I misplaced a couple of receipts while trying to categorize my Hermes purchases and asked my SA if he could provide me copies. He replied that all of my and my husband's past purchases are under my husband's profile.

(in the USA)
1. All items purchased, shy of a Birkin or a Kelly, provide commission for your SA and help your profile, both to varying degrees depending on category, but higher than zero.
2. Your “profile” is just a short form way of saying “your purchase history”. Everything you buy is memorialized in your purchase history, ie “client profile”, in the Hermes store computers. Sounds like they’ve been ringing up all of your purchases under your husband’s name.

Wow. Referring to #1– does that mean B and K do not provide any commission for SA?

they usually don’t, but I could be wrong. Depending on the boutique, sometimes leather goods in general don’t count towards their commissions. My previous SA has mentioned to me in private that she doesn’t make any commissions on leather goods. She was still very happy to show me any bags I wanted and I got several offers from her, too.

Our SA told us B & K do not have commissions because "those bags sell themselves".

Thanks so much for your explanations. I'm glad to know that everything I buy helps my SA and myself.
Yes, everything I buy is under my husband's profile, which is actually better for me overall I think.

Hi everyone,
So, I’ve noticed that sometimes at checkout, my SA asks the person who rings me up to print out a copy of my receipt to him, but sometimes he doesn’t ask for a copy. I happened to noticed that the few times my SA didn’t ask for a copy of the receipt were when my purchase were small, about 1-2k. Does that mean the small amount of the purchase does not matter to them?
I’m curious about this: does anyone’s SA always keep a copy of your receipt? And when the SA keep your receipts, does that mean you get a better chance of getting the dream bags?

thanks!

Hi,
I was doing phone order with my SA in the US, was asking for a picture of scarf under the natural light, but she told me she can't take any picture of product in the store, have to find the picture online, this is so strange, is this a rule in most of US stores ?

It’s a rule in every US store I’ve shopped in. Some stores don’t care, others will follow you around and yell at you. I’ve seen several people reprimanded in touristy stores especially for taking photos. My SA also couldn’t send me a photo of one of my SOs when it came in, even knowing it’d be two weeks until I could pick it up.

@castiel
Interesting. I have taken photos in two US boutiques (one my home store, the other when I was travelling and had an appointment - I think they had looked at my profile. They pulled a bag - not a b or k - out of the back to show me.)

I take photos regularly in my home store. (only scarves - I probably bought about 15-20 through my sa in the year before the pandemic closures... Although in addition to scarves, I did take a photo of the bag I was offered while on travel so I could think about it while I was in town.) My SA has also taken photos of her modeling a scarf in the store for me. Granted, she knows it helps me make decisions. Sometimes seeing a photo is so different from what you see in a mirror. It has also led to my texting her when I get home and asking her to hold a scarf for me that I had been on the fence about.
