thank you everyone! I wouldn’t say I hit it off with my SA, but she tries to get me what I ask for for the most part but she’s also extremely busy as she has many clients and I’m not really her top priority client. Often times we exchange greetings and have more personal chats when I go into the store but usually not via email or texts. I will probably go if I can and able to and have a chat with her.

Keep us posted after your chat with her! I will be on the same boat as you at some point. 2020 was a whirlwind of retail therapy for me, but at some point the crazy discretionary spending I've done this year needs to come back down to earth so I can take a breather.

Hi there! I feel a little silly asking this question, but I'm interested in making my first Hermes purchase. I really don't care particularly much about the bags (at least right now), but I love the collier de chien bracelets, belt, and some other jewelry and pieces like that. However, I feel like even though a CDC bracelet or two may be considered a "small" purchase, I still figure I should buy it in store, just to establish that relationship with an SA, just in case. (Because it seems like the way to go with Hermes!) However, I don't know how stores are like during covid- I have been pretty much quarantined the whole time, not even shopping inside the grocery store because I'm asthmatic and immunocompromised. However, I figure Hermes stores are probably pretty sparse with the people? I'd be going to the Bellevue, WA store. Is it worth going in store, or should I buy online?

Also, I've never been in a H store before and have never tried on any of their bracelets but have minuscule wrists, so it would be nice to try things on.

It's definitely worth going in. The Bellevue store is pretty quiet during weekdays, plus it's appointment only so they really limit how many people are able to come in. Have fun!!

For bracelets/bangles, I do recommend trying them on before purchase if possible. I also have very small wrists, and their small size is actually a little large for me. I had to special order smaller/shorter sizes for two of my purchases.

You can do that?? Is it extra?

Also I made an appt for Saturday, so excited! ^_^

Glad you got an appointment!
Yes, they offered to special ordered the bracelets for me, but one took about 10 months and the other over a year to arrive. You can ask your SA if the style you want can also be special ordered if the smallest one they carry is still too big.
I don’t think there is extra charge; the price paid is whatever the current price is when you pick up, so it may be more depending on price increase. Hopefully you can just get the one in stock because one year is a quite wait!

It is!! I have absolutely ridiculously thin wrists though, so we'll see. There's also the CDC 24 but I really like the full studs and ring, the almost 90s punk look it has. Thanks for the tip!

I have some questions about the relationship with SA. I have tried to make appointment with my SA early this month to shop for Christmas. However my SA didn’t seem interested to make appointment with me. I asked him for few days but he always said not available and he didn’t let me know what date he is available as well. I even sent him my wish list for Christmas shopping but never got a reply back .

Do anyone in this forum has this situation before? Should I contact him again after new year? Or should I look for a new SA but at the same store? Thank you!

they were busy for the holidays, but yours doesn’t sound like a relationship. I’d be looking for someone else to work with.

I would look for a new SA in the same store.

I think I feel the same way, some years we spend more because we want to and or can. I think I am as well in the
Same boat. Unfortunately money doesn’t grow on trees , also maybe one needs a break or just has other priorities.
I do believe that most people have “active” years of shopping and some down times , all
Completely normal.
i think just stopping by the boutique will help and Keeping contact. Eventually when you are ready and feel like the time is right, you can go back and begin purchasing . I don’t see it as a negative , Actually you will look more “ human “ less of a reseller or walking-credit card for the SA.
Same here 2020 was big on spending, we had nothing else to do and my credit card was busy lol

I’m in an interesting situation. I’ve been building a relationship with an SA for the past 6 months. I’ve gotten a B and she’s been able to source me things which aren’t available in the boutique. She’s great! Unfortunately she’s currently out of the boutique for an extended period of time (I believe she’s on leave) and has given me two managers I can see when I go in and another SA.

I was able to get a few things with this new SA and build a relationship as well but now I’m not sure how it’ll hinder my relationship with my current SA? She mentions I can still give her my wishlist and she’ll try to let me know what’s available. I’ve seen him twice already for items and will be seeing him again for an item he helped me transfer in.

I’d like to get my new bag which the new SA is aware of as I inquired on my first visit on stock (my SA is aware it’s on my wishlist). What do you think I should do? Both SA’s are GREAT. I’d like to purchase my next bag in the next 3 months so I’m not in a rush, But I know with my current SA out of the boutique until further notice, I feel like the odds of my next bag are offering is slimmer?

Hmmm...this is tough. December must be a busy time for them, right? But also being completely unresponsive when you put in several requests to drop money at that store is also unacceptable. I would look for another SA.

@hokatie This is exactly what I was thinking. My store is back to team alternating days so December work days got cut in half for all of the SA's. I assume they are trying to also make numbers for the year and month and would rather take appointments they know are going to be spending a lot of money. The fact they couldn't even give you time frame for an open appointment or reply with "I am all booked until Jan sorry" just doesn't work for me. I would say maybe try and reach out one more time in Jan see if they are any friendlier then find a new SA!
