Interestingly that's what sealed the deal for my 2nd B30 in noir togo ghw. Was told it was a greatly in demand color combo so I would have had to be patient but a H watch made it happened with a much shorter wait!

lol I now remember once when it’s beginning of July and I was at my store I saw multiple customers checking out with watches...don’t think it was coincidence that it was the beginning of a new quota semester (back when it was semester based)

Hello! I’m new here and hoping for advice about whether it’s possible to develop a relationship remotely, especially if I’ve never met the SA.

Apologies for the long post but for background, I’m in Australia and the closest store is a 4 hour flight away. I have recently managed to get a bicolour Picotin 18 by phone that I had missed out on online. This was after calling around two months ago looking for it. No one had it available but one SA said he could see the store might be getting it and would put my name down for it. He was pretty frank in saying other clients would be offered first before me so didn’t actually think anything would come of it!

When I called the same store another time asking if they had a Bolide (wasn’t available), a different SA advised coming in person to put in a wish list. I would love to but given the COVID situation, I’m not sure when I can next travel.

So would it be weird if I call and ask to speak to the Picotin SA to put in a wish list? Not looking for a quota bag currently and I won’t be a big spender by any means so I don’t want to be a hassle or waste anyone’s time!

Thank you for reading!

Which state are you in?
Brisbane boutique had bolide etoupe (not sure about the size) when I went there on Wednesday so might worth try calling them:smile:

TL/DR is Commonly used by the person who is writing something long, they post the abridged version for others who may not have an opportunity to read an entire post, the poster is usually asking for advice. It’s a common phrase on reddit and other forums. I haven’t seen it used for someone who is asking for help, but it’s 2020 :flowers:

What made me actually laugh out loud was the reply saying in essence, ‘I can’t be bothered to read what you wrote previously but would you do me a favor and take time out of your day to answer another question which I may or may not bother to read?

I’m dying:lol:! I love when people with 2 posts and want a SA cell phone number. :amazed:

I really hope I misunderstood that poster but any way I look at it I can’t find a different interpretation...

That poster probably should block me now because I tend to make really long comments that they will never want to read...

How can we check if we have been added to an ignore list ...

So funny!!
The ironic part is that with a lack of patience, really the best way to get bag offers is what the quoted member recommended in her reply - buy fine jewelry!

Haha! What I meant by TL;DR was I haven't gone back 4-5 pages to read the initial question and the following comments.

I think it’s good that you clarified.

I got chastised recently on a 1900+ page (29k posts) thread for asking a question and not reading the entire thread. Sigh.
I know!!! I'm glad I came back to check updates and now to clarify. It was just an innocent comment/question folks. Hope as strangers we can be kind to each other.
I think the only thing people take offense to is the outright statement of “I don’t care/can’t be bothered to look at this.” It may be semantics but I think it reads a little rude to some people. Most members aren’t expecting everyone to read tens of thousands of posts. Just my opinion though! :flowers:

For me, it's semantics and misuse of the acronym. I used TL;DR to simply mean "Too long, I didn't read this whole thread," but came off as "Too lazy, I don't care"...? Anyway, just to clarify everyone...I was only asking a question and I apologize if I came off rude because that definitely was NOT my intent!!! (And I will never use TL;DR ever again and this is becoming an english lesson thread...haha!)

TL;DR I assume you’re apologizing? Just kidding, totally understand where you’re coming from
