My home store is also BH. I've been wishing for a picotin 18 and a mini evelyn and my SA keeps telling me they aren't getting any in. It's been over a year and I've spent over $10k and I'm in the store every 2-3 months. I can't tell if he's stringing me along.
My home store is the same. I am also relatively new to H and don't have a long purchase history. I have only been shopping here for 1.5 years. This happened to me as well. I have spent more than $15k at that time. My SA never put me on the waitlist even though I had a specific and coveted mini bag I was looking for, and I could wait patiently. She just told me it was too hard to get it, so I gave up. However, she was really helpful during my visits, so I still decided to stay with her and only purchase everything I needed or wanted. After 1 year, I was offered a mini Evelyn and a mini K later. (I did score a QB last year, but no non-QB. In other words, I was offered only 1 bag for a year after spending a lot, but I got all on my wishlist later on. My pre-spending is in the normal range but not low.) I would be patient and keep purchasing the items I need in this situation if I feel the SA is the right person I could click with. The store is so competitive now.

I got my first quota bag after 2:1 spend during one year and was in purse peace.. I was happy with all the items I purchased and happy with my QB. But I started getting more interested in new RTW pieces recently and made an appt with my SA after 1.5 years of not seeing her. At first moment she said she thought I just disappeared after I received my QB. I felt pretty terrible hearing that but told her I was very busy with family issues so I have not shopped much at all (which is true). Do you guys think this is a bad sign for another QB? I am not desperate for a QB anytime soon but was happy to purchase RTW items I wanted and ended up spending 1.5:1. She did not ask if I wanted to update my wishlist and I didn't bring it up either. Does it sound like the long pause hurt the relationship?

Continue shopping regularly and you’ll be fine.

you must have read enough on here to know that a lot of people engineer their purchase history with a view to getting a quota bag - that is the primary aim
from what you described it is not unreasonable that your SA thought that about you
at least she has been upfront with you about how she felt
it seems as if you have cleared the air
however you are not being upfront as to whether you want another quota bag
you might write that you do not want another QB anytime soon,
but that does not hide the impression that it is your intention
otherwise why would you mention your spending ratio?
the person you should be addressing honestly is your SA

you asked if you have hurt your relationship
if I were your SA, I would be wondering about your long-term potential as a client
you can only mend that concern by your actions

Sorry if it made it sound like I had expectations. Just wanted to say I didn’t just go in to buy a tshirt and needed perspective if I should have further explained my absence. But you have answered all my questions and I will put this to rest.

I don’t think you hurt it. But of course most sa would prefer to have a regular client. At the same time, you don’t owe anyone anything. Shop when you want. And stop when you want.

Would really appreciate some insights from you guys! I’m new in my journey and have been shopping with my SA for about 3/4 months now. Spend is about 15-17k and they know which bag(something that’s more limited in stock) I’m interested in. They have invited me to a RTW event and also extended an invite to a jewelry event that’s happening soon. Happy they are inviting me so I usually buy a bit more things during the events. Although I only buy things I really like, I’m hoping to not spend too much until my first QB. While I’m showing my loyalty to the brand, I also want to see my SA deliver too. Do you guys feel that’s valid or just wishful thinking? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly I find it kind of odd for a new client to be invited to many events like this which makes me feel like the SA is trying to get every dollar out of an eager new customer. Assuming you are looking for a highly coveted bag, I would slow down and not spend too much too quickly or else the temptation is there for your SA to take advantage. There are likely several long term high spending clients ahead of you who want the same coveted bag and will likely be serviced first. Three months is a very short term in Hermes world so I would slow down and gradually get to 3-5:1 spend before expecting such a bag to become available to you. (Of course there are many factors to this including how well you get along with your SA, which exact store it is, etc)

Thank you for your insight! I will slow down on the spending. I agree that if I continue the pattern, it might turn me into a cash cow lol. The SA is a newer hire so might be why they invited me. They did offer me a few coveted non-quota bags so taking it as a good sign & hope something comes along soon.

I was invited to furniture event my very first visit (didnt go). I also got invited to watch event (went but did not buy) a few months in. I think my SA did that to gauge what I'm interested in (and subsequently would spend). I haven't been invited to anything else but have been offered both QB and non-QBs. While I'm sure big purchases at these events will certainly help your chances, just make sure you buy what you want, and d on't get pressured into getting things you don't want. I would also agree to slow down your purchases (as aforementioned comment long term high spending clients) as you will quickly burn out (mentally). I would take what @acrowcounted (resident expert and OG) is saying to heart
