I went into the FP store during the recent PCE and didn't see the small Sadie, but asked about her. The SA sold me the Scarlet, and ordered the Quartz for me. I finally have both and figured I'd show them off.
I'm not sure I'll keep the Scarlet. She's gorgeous, but I'm not feeling her. Also, the hardware squeaks quite a bit. I have to be careful with metal-on-metal, as that sound drives my DH crazy, like a spike to his head due to a metal-backed false tooth he has. He doesn't ask for much, so I figure I can accommodate.
The brass squeals, the nickel squeaks in a lower pitch.
The lining on the Deep Quartz was a darker plum than I expected - if I remember correctly, the quartz regular Sadie has a lavender lining. Also, the pebbled Scarlet is a touch smaller than the saffiano Quartz, both height and width. Not enough to feel like a different size, but definitely a smidge smaller. She also slouches a bit more than the stiff Saffiano. I was kind of surprised by how stiff the Saffiano really is - my other saffiano items drape a bit more - I think the lining and structure of the small Sadie doesn't give it has much room to drape.
I can fit quite a bit in this little thing - a mini card wallet, small wristlet, large sunglasses, notebook & passport, Sony Reader. Keys in the back pocket. Tissues and my iPhone 5C in the front pocket under the flap.
For the mod shot - I'm just shy of 5'5", size 12.

I am your height and weight and you wear the bag so nicely! I have regular Sadie, and I've been hoping to get the Saffiano Quartz Small Sadie. I just need to be patient! I have gone BONKERS buying purses this year. Coach has definitely spoken to me and my wardrobe/lifestyle. I love this bag on you! THanks for the post!!!

Beautiful bags! I would keep the Saff in this bag too. I like that it keeps its shape better. Thanks for the informative post. I really need to get out there and see Scarlet IRL. Would you say that this is an accurate color depiction? It seems so different depending on which photo I see.

I'll see if I can remember to take one tonight with a small and a large wallet. I did take a picture of my items in front of my Rambler, and my Rambler with the small Sadie, so I'll attach those for now. I'm using a Madison patent card case as my wallet, and a small Saffiano wristlet for eye drops and other things that might drip. The satin interiors feel like I'm tempting fate.
Everything inthe Rambler was in the Sadie, plus iPhone and keys in the back pocket. This is slightly less than I normally carry and its a tight fit - I usually have a bigger wallet that holds all those discount coupons and cards in the clip.
Maybe I should get the regular Sadie in Quartz and use the cross body strap on the big girl, and sell the little one with the shoulder strap. Although with my luck, I'd want to keep them both...

The picture of the envelope bag you posted looks a bit brighter than the pebbled Scarlet of the small Sadie. It looks more like Saffiano Vermillion on my screen. The pebbled Scarlet I have is more a rich red, but not quite a maroon. I'm trying to think of a real life comparison and I'm drawing a blank.
Coach drives me crazy with their color naming. They use the same color name across their lines, but if its pebbled or saffiano or textured or smooth, it's a totally different color. Vermillion got used for colors ranging from terracotta orange to bright red and everything in between.

Omg is this the saffiano patent card case there? I loved it soo much but i didnt buy it for some reason.. Can you post a pic of it opened?

It's interesting - the leather looks textured, but the patent layer is so thick it's smooth on the outside. It fits about 20 cards, although its a tight squeeze because of the gusseting.Attachments

On topic: have you seen the patent sadie on the website? Its brownish instead of red though..
Has anyone seen the new Madison Large Sadie Flap Satchel in Croc in person yet? I love the chocolate color and the croc is not bad. Do you think it will soften and slouch a little after use? It looks so structured and stiff on site. Any thoughts would be appreciated
