Made in Italy?

I noticed that some Chanel bags say made in Italy instead of France. When did this start? I sent a photo of a bag to my MIL and she noticed the "Italy" and was surprised. Thanks!!!

Made in Italy has been around for a few years (2011?), you may even see some small leather goods made in Spain!
