Dentelle is a tribute to Marie Antoinette and there for named Kirsten as Kirsten Dunst played Antoinette in the recent movie.
Marie Antoinette had (or was rumoured to have) a lover named Count Alex de Fersten of Sweden hence the name Fersten for the messenger style bag

Wow this is quite interesting, and like the 'Mary-Kate' etc it is good to know that they are recognising contemporary names along with the more traditional names of the past

That would have to be a defining moment for a star, to me anyway. A LV bag named after you. It definitely screams you made it.

I personally have never visited the stars they get awarded set in stone on the walk of fame or whatever it's called- and probably won't ever see it- but I often repeat the names of these LV bags named after these people. lol

My friend has been to the sale they have before they destroy everything. She bought a few pairs of shoes for herself and her husband, bathing suits & some clothes. She said there werent many bags there and she got up to 70 percent off. I assume the SA's snatch up all the good stuff before the sale for the price I would too.

Hmmm, I know this post is from very long ago.. but..
how do you actually get invited to their sale?

Haha!

Had to add this here....

The LV boutiques in Hawaii will heatstamp your purchase with a very pretty hibiscus flower that says H A W A I I underneath....

(here it is on my damier koala agenda)

omg... That is really such a beautiful gesture from the Aloha state LV... Wish the regular states would even accommodate doing a heat stamp like that or correctly!

I'm gonna love this thread!!!

-The press gets a bag about a month before each runway:

+For the S/S '05 it was the Lizard Cerises Pochette.

+For the F/W '07 Squitchy Bag, for the SS07 a TDF cabas like the LVOE one but instead of having the LVOE letters there is a cut Speedy incrusted. This bag was supposed to be released but they decided at the last moment not to put it on the runway.

-The press also gets Christmas gifts. In 2005, it was the Petit Noe Epi Mocha with gunmetal hardware. In 2006 it was the Miroir Silver Speedy, with only a few lucky enough to receive it.

-There is a range of different products especially created for 'Best Client' and/or to resolve problems. Baguettes Chinoises, Bougies de Voyages, Incenses de Voyages, Bookmark, Night Flight Kit... They created this line of products to avoid having to give a discount on an item currently retailing in the store. It's 2 totally different budgets. It's also in order to maintain an easy management of the inventory.

@_@ wow, how do you know this stuff
