India? Are you serious?? From all of those country in Europe, which one is the best?

:cursing: -is this true, that is HORRIBLE!!!!!!

I hope it went to victims who wanted to replace a treasured LV, not a scam artist cashing in on such a tragic event!!!

I read this same thing. A local paper did a write up on it and I remember reading it on the yahoo main page in the news section at one point also. I thought the number was higher. I remember hearing that LV actually turned away an uncomfirmed number of those cards in addition to the ones that actually made the purchases because they caught on to what was happening.

I never saw what a card looked like so I don't know how obvious it was that it was disaster funds.

It's hard to believe people did that kind of thing. Those cards were meant for food and shelter for those who had none. People who weren't actually in need cashed in on it.
I hate they lost their home, but don't buy luxury goods with disaster relief money.

oh thats interesting! i never knew the chewy was made by someone else. there is a very small company here selling it. pinks.co.nz.
they also have manalo barkniks and sniffanys :roflmfao:

LV is STILL fighting this. I posted a thread a while back. A new law was passed in the beginning of this year that LV is using to fight their battle. It has to do with brand name recognition. Because technically, chewy vuitton is cashing in on the fame of the Vuitton name that they have worked hard to achieve. No one would buy it otherwise. So they do lawfully have a case, even if I think they should spend more time fighting better and bigger battles.

The only people who would buy chewy or sniffany items are US, the consumers of LV themselves. And it is only as a gag. Only someone who pays thousands for a purse would pay $30 for a dog toy that mimmicked the brands.
I personally haven't bought it, but I DID buy a collar and lead from LV themselves. If they made other designs such as murakami I'd buy those too. Gucci makes dog toys, LV should too if they're trying to stamp out the dog toy manufacturer.
