LV Lovers - when do you buy new and when do you buy preloved?

Just purchased a preloved bucket bag gm. LV discontinued them so only way to go. I’ve seen them repaired and they look gorgeous. I haven’t seen anyone carry it so I’m excited to bring her back to life.

Depend on the model I am looking for. E.g. discontinued pieces, but also when you find a well preserved piece, why not preloved if authenticated.

I buy pre-loved because I want to protect the environment

I tend to buy new if it's something I know I can't get 6 months down the road or if I know I'll be paying more for. I buy used when I can determine MSRP was too high and has bad residual value or if I feel I'm getting a good deal and can make use and get rid of for a profit down the line. I definitely buy used trunks cause MSRP is super high, though I'd love a custom piece someday.

I’ve bought both new and pre-loved. I only buy pre-loved if it’s in great condition and a good price. Unfortunately with the hot market right now, I have not seen deals on pre-loved. Pre-pandemic I bought a speedy B, neverfull, 3 wallets, favorite PM, Odeon pm( older model) , and a few others in Perfect condition. I don’t think the second hand market is worth it now unless its discontinued Items now

Always new here. I would only consider preloved for a discontinued item but I have never found anything I want enough to buy someone else's old items. Usually just go without.

since pre-loved luxury is durable, it is really good to the environment and this cannot be ignored in the future..
