I’ve been contemplating whether to wait and get the Cannes in the Monogram Geant that’s coming out next month but I realized after looking at some of the posted Instagram photos, I def prefer the black leather trim on the reverse monogram. Still thought I’d wait until the Geant is released to make a final decision. I might just love it upon seeing it!

I think the monogram géant is too loud and gaudy. The reverse mono version is more timeless. That’s the one I would pick.

I just saw the Cannes Bag in black Epi leather today. They didn’t have it in the monogram but the SA ordered it for me and it’s coming in a few days but now I’m contemplating whether to just get the Epi. It’s so beautiful. Well the SA said when I come back to pick up the mono, I can always exchange it if I change my mind. Hmm.. which to get. I actually don’t actually have any Epi leather handbags, only SLGs. My bags are mostly are empreinte or mono vernis. I suppose it also has to do with the fact that this past year I feel like I’ve purchased way too many mono prints - bumbag, nice, Boîte Chapeau Souple, neo noe, Marignan. But I feel like the reverse mono print compliments the shape of the bag so well too. Hmm contemplating before pickup. I’m right at the 50/50 indecisiveness level.

Ooh I tried on the black Epi Cannes this weekend, it’s actually bigger than I thought it would be. The leather is sooo smooth, my CA said he saw someone with a 20 year old Epi backpack and it still looked new. If they ever make a pastel purple (Lilas) Epi version of the Cannes, I would NEED it lol.

Good luck on your decision! Both are beautiful choices, the reverse mono is pretty unique even with your other Monogram bags.

Tis true, the reverse mono is unique even if it is mono, but that Epi was so luxe.

Lol @ Need. I tell myself I “need” every bag too :)
They did have the Epi Cannes in a creamy white, red and the Bleu Jean.

The Lilas color is just too pretty, I don’t think I could resist. It’s probably best that I missed the red and blue Epi Cannes, my wallet is safe for now

I have the black epi Cannes and its one of my favourite bags, I do love epi leather and not a fan of the reverse monogram but the actual bag is so adorable and much more roomy than it looks.
Whatever you decide the Cannes is beautiful :heart:

I used a strap from another purse I have (it has different hardware but honestly looks fine). I pooped some black hair ties through the thing opening of the top handle, but I’ve also seen people attach a D ring to each side to add the strap to! It totally looks great. I walked into LV in Toronto with it this weekend and they loved it. And I saw the new version in store and I’m so glad I went vintage. It has so much more space!
