Supposedly this is not a defect and the way the bag is supposed to be. She said it’s cut, folded that way to allow for movement.
The slots do get bigger over time, so I was worried about it. They didn’t have the mono bumbag and were unable to order one. I had mentioned them being made in Spain and possibly differently and they stated that they’re made in a few different factories, but denied any changes in canvas or design.
I was able to get a credit, since I was worried about how much the slots would spread.
They did tell me that it was done on purpose to allow movement.

@lvoe nyc So glad you received store credit. I really like this bag and I am ecstatic my local store received one yesterday.

Here’s pics comparing the MIS (right and the top) to the MIF (left and on the bottom). The canvas on the MIS is thicker and shinier. Keep in mind, the MIF was purchased last Saturday and MIS was exchanged yesterday. Neither have been used. The canvas on the MIS has more texture and is stiffer (feels like the canvas on my Speedy) than the MIF. Hope these pics help. I do not notice cuts in the canvas near the zippers on either one. However, my CA mentioned that it’s possible it could happen again due to the design but should not spread beyond the stitching.

Do you wear it across your waist or shoulder? Mine looks best on my shoulder. If you return it, it will be sold immediately. I know a lot of people in the “what are you stalking today” thread who are dying for this bag.

I bought it awhile ago ..I tried it over my shoulder and cross body in front. It just seems awkward to me, it’s not a bag I normally use but thought I would try it.i was talking to my sa about it and she did say people were still wanting it. I tried on the men’s sling bag and liked it a lot better but don’t like the damier graphite pattern. I’m going to try a few more times and see if I like it better. I just want to make sure I don’t regret it if I sold it...

@EmmJay. Thanks! I’m glad it worked out. It is a great bag, but I buy bags that will wear well and last. I always try to avoid bags that have known problems.
I don’t entirely buy their explanation because the new ones don’t have any visible cuts. I’m happy that lv took care of my concerns.

Enjoy it, such a functional bag.

Hi! The men’s bags don’t seem to have as much depth. When worn on the shoulder it’s a great grab and go bag and not bulky. Crossbody does seem a little bulky, kind of like an arm rest. Lol. It’s nice having everything right there in front of you.
Definitely try it out, they’re not even able to order this bag as of today. Seems like EmmJay got one of the last ones currently available. Try it out, since it may take searching to find again.

The stores are unable to order it but you can request a CA to check inventory for it. Stores get shipment daily except for Sunday. Yesterday, my CA said there was inventory at one of the stores in Vegas.

Does anyone know how to connect to a store. When you call the 1800 they will tell u the bag is not in stock and no stores have inventory. They did say I could be put on a list and should have it within 3 months but I hate the unknown of knowing when it will actually be in stock.
I'm debating this or the Gucci marmount but so many knock off look alikes!

The best way to get the bumbag is to ask a CA to check inventory. Every time I have contacted CS to check inventory, CS says no stores have the specific item. Then, I immediately contact one of my CAs and he or she provides availability for the specific item that CS just told me was unavailable. I use CS as a last option bc I find that they’re not that helpful.

I am still in love with mine and waiting on my World Tour bumbag, which was expected to ship to store on 6/15. Hopefully, I will get it soon.
