I believe the ribbon has been discontinued! :laugh: Someone was selling some on Ebay.

I ordered my Speedy40 and the store didn't have it at the time they said they would so they overnighted it to me. It didn't come with a box so I called the store and they told me to come in with the reciept and I got my box.

With eLux, I get a box automatically.

Here in Europe they don't give free catalogues to customers anymore.

If you want a box then just tell them that you'd like it 'giftwrapped and preferably in a gift box, please' and they sure give you a box. :smile1: The SAs never had any problems with that. In fact I always have to take flights to the nearest LV stores in Central Europe so that's why I ask for a box every time, so my bag wouldn't look too squeezed when I'm back home. :D

It depends. Some most SA's usually ask if you want a box and some don't. I think the ribbon has been discontinued. I get this funky black string and they make a ribbon out of it.

I bought a pochette and it came in a box but no dustbag, I had to ring and ask the SA to send me one in the mail.
I liked my SA, she was very nice and even though I didn't spend a lot that day, she was very friendly.

I got a huge box with my Saleya MM...I don't know how the SA fit it in there, but when I tried, it bent the sides of the bag. When I went back to get the cosmetic case, I asked if they had a bigger box. She (different SA) pulled one out....but it didn't work either. I guess it is just from the shape of the these bags.:huh:

^^^ Thanks Bjara. You just saved me from going to LV and asking them if they had a box big enough for my Saleya GM. Yes, it probably is a tricky shape to put in a box. Oh well... guess a dust bag would have to do.

I always get everything I buy in boxes and leather string ribbons and sit down and drink coffee or peligrinoand wait for the SA to bring me items she thinks I may be interested in while the security guard tries not to laugh at our (me and usually one of my friends or assistant) jokes...it's usually a fun day at the LVB.

They still have that here in the UK. I bought a lovely long scarf (one I hadn't seen before, white with colourful patterns and flowers on it- gorgeous) and it came in a box with that almost leather but not quite black string.

Also, I think we are lucky in the UK. SA's seem to go packaging crazy, I alsways end up in box/tissue/ribbon/paperbox to put box in to protect it before putting it in the carrier bag/crazy!

They also have this lovely white ribbon with silver designs on it (see my WTS thread with the VIP game, it's on the box).

They only do ribbons around holidays. I got my mandarin key cles around Christmas and they gave me a really pretty ribbon =)

Last night when I was at the LV store I started talking to a couple who obviously shops at LV a lot. The lady was giving advice and stressed to get a box. She said that if the SA thinks you don't know LV they won't offer you one. She mentioned that you could sell them on ebay for $50. I don't know about that but thought I'd let you ladies know what she said.
