Ugh how irritating.. they should always have a box when you buy from Louis Vuitton, boxes,tissues, ribbons... even a cute SA's number;) . COACH gift wraps everytime and here we're paying 3X more we should get the whole SHA- BANG i say!

My PH didn't bc I threw all my stuff in it while it was still on the counter and then my old purse in the shopping bag. Now I always make sure I get a box and a dustcover. I did however get a dust cover with it.

Yeah it's dumb if they are going to be that stingy with the box. It probably costs them like 25 cents to make it...I hope you get one! Good luck! If it helps, I was in a similar situation (although it was Coach I was dealing with, not LV) and they gave me one, no problem. Just be really nice...I would make sure that you go in person, though...don't just call:)

I notice when you purchase something small, they don't really give you a box but just that brown paper bag to go with it. But usually when you purchase something bigger or more expensivem they'll give you a box w/o asking you. I guess it all depends on your SA and whether if she likes you or not.

Natalie, go get a box! Don't ask, just tell them it was overlooked. I'm guessing you'll get one. I like boxes for all my bags. And I really like LV's boxes! They're very sturdy, unlike Coach (althought they've gotten better).

Well, I purchased BV & pochette at the same time and they didn't give me boxes :( I do think it depends on the SA.

Last Week I Purchase A Pouchette And The Sa Said They Were Out, Since The Next Lv Store Was Like 15 Min Away I Said O.k I'll Go To A Store That Has Boxes In Stock, Started Walking Away, When Another Sa Said She Would Be Able To Give Me A Slightly Bigger Box ....you Know Hoe Some Of These Sa's Are, So Snobby But In Reality Most Of Make 2-3 Times More $ Money Than Them, I Defitnetely Like Buying On Elux Better

Whenever I purchase something, regardless of how small (or big) it is, I always get a box. I just ask them to gift wrap it, and they always do (and gladly, I might add). Just last week when I bought my mom the perforated scarf, I asked for it to be gift wrapped and the SA said, "oh, of course" and even tied the box with leather string. But here is my question about boxes and wrapping. Everytime I buy something and have it wrapped, the box is ALWAYS wrapped with this skinny string of leather. I never get the pretty ribbons I see some people have on their boxes on ebay. Is this because of when I am buying, or the store? If anybody could give me an answer, I'd really appreciate it!:laugh:

Never had a problem getting boxes for my bags.I have had to accept purchases in the gift bags but as soon as they got in more boxes they give me a call or ship the size I needed right to my home.

The boxes are quite expensive, even the keyring size, and I can understand why they'd want to hold off on giving them out like candy at Halloween--despite the cost of an LV item. You'd be shocked at how much the simplest boxes cost at wholesale, and it's why the packaging of most cosmetics and skin care items is more than what goes in them.
