I was delighted and surprised to notice that the closure is magnetic, because my only reservation on the purple wearable wallet option had been a concern that the purple hardware would peel from going in and out of the latch! The magnet is very strong and robust and I can put my cards in the long zipper compartment.

I ended up ordering:
(1) the green Taigarama card case necklace for my green Taigarama needs
(2) the purple steamer wearable wallet for daily small bag needs (work and shuttling kids)
(3) preordering the envelope pouch from the upcoming collection because it was so cute (photo at the end).

Apparently preorders opened up to everyone today for that collection and it was the brown color combo I wanted in the mini bag I always need. I am so out of the loop, I didn’t realize there are tiny dogs in the monogram, how cute! The dimensions are tiny, just about the size of a card holder though! So I will see how functional it is when it arrives at the end of March.

Now this is the crazy part! I also unintentionally purchased another wearable wallet, in graphite. I had tried on the noir leather one that they had in the store, and I liked it but was not in love. It was cool, but more serious than fun. Then on a whim I tried on the monogram graphite one and it just melted my heart it was so cute. I kept trying on bags in a whirl, two or three at a time because my tiny kids were waiting and then I paid for the bags I had ordered and walked back to my car, which was in another building’s parking garage, got everyone situated and drove home. Well when I was pulling in at home I got a phone call and actually answered it. It was Louis Vuitton, calling to say hi and thanks again? Nooooooo! Calling to ask did I leave wearing the wearable wallet…I looked down and I was still wearing the display bag crossbody while doing all that and driving home! Can you imagine that I just walked out of the store wearing the bag, stopping to take photos of a new bracelet, paying for my parking etc all while wearing this store bag! So I was mentally like, (well first, “!!!!OMG!!!! What did I do!!!! …Wait, HOW did I do that and none of us noticed???”), but then I was like, “OK this is the best confirmation I could get that this bag style is so comfortable, does not shift, molds to my body like a glove, clearly it is made for me!” Also because I apparently just bought two of them! They asked, “Can you come back and bring back the bag?” It was about 45 min later and I was already pulling up at home and kids were almost to bedtime so I asked if they could just send me a shipping lable to send it to them. They said it’s not the best option, but if I wanted to add it to my order then they could do that no problem. That sounded the easiest so I just had them charge my card for it, so technically it’s mine! I don’t really need 2 steamer wallets though, do I? This one kind of feels special to me now though, I mean, what a story!!! You guys!!!

Love all of these and the cardholders you also posted! Funny story about walking out with the one item; definitely something I would do. And can I just say how much I love all your fancy jewelry and bags with your lululemon? I’m a lulu person through and through, but I also love nice jewelry and bags. Glad to see I’m not the only one who pairs lulu with the good stuff.

Thank you so much! We are the same 🥰 I love pretty jewelry, but at the end of the day, I like to be comfortable too; I’m glad that I’m not the only one! That’s why LV always gives me such good feelings. The brand doesn’t take itself too seriously and it’s one of the few where they are always super nice to me no matter what I wear or what I do (clearly!).

I know what you mean about vachetta. You are right about the white stitching it’s going to have to be babied a bit, I’d probably say noe might be better as it’s smaller and won’t get caught on things as easily. I think im leaning towards on the go bb but just not sure how that size will pan out. Dune is lovely I just don’t understand the black on it x

Exactly. This is why I consider their Menswear line to be actually Childrenswear, and their Men's accessories toys. These are toy designs.
No wonder why I only buy from the Women's line in the past few years. Since the street style craze started at Vuitton, most of their stuff is regressive and infantilized.

I’ve noticed the opposite reaction - a lot of people on social media calling it “disgusting”, “ruining LV” and “ghetto” among other things. Of course nothing to do with yourself - just continuing the dialogue and sharing my observations. While I understand not every collection is for everyone I’m a little shocked by just how negative the remarks from fellow LV collectors have been. Some of the same people labeling this collection childish and destroying the brand, were not so long ago fawning over Grace’s Catogram collection. Maybe they’re just not dog people;)

Personally, I find the collection fun. The pastel colors, whimsical prints are perfect for Spring days and preppy vibes. Some pieces like the Waffle bag and Éclair charm are indeed tongue-in-cheek. LV has been doing this for years so nothing groundbreaking:lol:

I thought I was the only one scrolling through social media and scratching my head in confusion from seeing SO MANY people losing their minds and calling this collection "amazing" or "innovative" or "best ever collab". I saw some sneak peak photos and thought there might be potential but I'm not a fan at all — big yikes for me

Absolutely agreed everyone finds something for themselves at LV that’s why I love this brand for its wide array, and don’t get me wrong LV always had “fun” approach from beginning (staple monogram canvas itself with flowery motifs, damier - chest board) not to mention famous collabs with graffiti, roses, arty dots, colorful monograms etc - that’s why people love it. And even kitsch has its right to be and its presence can be innovative and “cool” but in this particular case I’ll take Kim Jones Akita everyday over the above.
