Personally I'd choose the Alma bb only because it can fit more and I have too much mini bags already so trying not to add more bags with small capacity. My 2 nano noes (mono and stardust) have not yet to be used as I find nano speedy more suitable to fit my stuff.

But both bags are cuuuute!! Good luck deciding!

I prefer the Alma bb because it's more practical. I too am deciding between the twister dots nano speedy (which I already pre- ordered) or the Twister version in speedy25.

What about petite Sac Plat?

One of course the nanos are cute meanwhile the other more functional. Have you had a chance to try in store (or wait until you can), that way you will know for sure.

”Modern” art and design refers to late 19th century to late 20th century works. Anything made after 1970/1980 is “contemporary.” Art today is “contemporary.”

Hmmm if I were to describe Western vs Eastern aesthetics throughout history, with one word, Western is “structured,” and Eastern is “lyrical.” It’s a little harder to make generalizations with art today, though, since most works will borrow from various cultures in aesthetics and design. That being said, when sales are concerned, the more popular global choice tends to follow Western aesthetics -mainly because many of us are taught to focus on Western art for historically “great” works.

Ever wondered why Disney has never produced an “anime-style” movie or show? It’s because anime/manga is not taken seriously in the Western world, due to it’s lack of realistic representation of the natural physical world. Western can be thought of as a more literal understanding, and Eastern is a philosophical understanding, of the world and experiences. But do we really need a somewhat-accurate representation of the physical world to understand narrative?

I think Painted Dots is the most commercially safe. Through them, you don’t really need to know Kusama to get an idea of her work. Does that make it Western? Kind of. A Western approach to ”Hello Kitty” would be “it’s cute. I like cute. I’ll buy cute.” A more Eastern approach would be, “I like this feeling I get when I look at this cute character. I’ll buy it.” This is very generalized, but Western is more about appreciating what is front of you, whereas Eastern is about appreciating the experience. Neither is better than the other, but I wish more “serious” art programs also taught non-Western art, design, and aesthetics.
I LOVE YOU. Yes, I try to explain modern art and contemporary art to too many ppl and they still don't understand me.

I also think twister dots is more commercial. After all, it's a simple concept and the derivative of all art forms. From a dot, to a line, to shape...etc.

What concerns me is how the dots are constructed of. I understand LV tries to imitate an actual paint on canvas dot (3D), but when applied to malleable canvas and subjected to daily use, how will the dots fare? Crack, discolor, peel, or get sticky over time?

I hate the price tags on these items, but to me, I'm committed to owning a piece of contemporary art and luxury brand.

Thank you so much for your advice. I think you are right. I have too many mini bags also. The Alma bb does fit more and it looks more like a proper bag. It’s only $500 difference between the 2 bags. So definitely the Alma bb is more value for money.

I tried the Alma Bb in store and it looks really nice. To my surprise, it was easy to match with my outfit.

Trust me you will love your twister nano speedy once you see it. I love mine one so much that I will probably never let it go.

In the past, I ordered a monogram petit sac plat and returned as I did not really love the shape of this bag for some reason… But I have to say the twister version looks much cuter than the monogram petit sac.

Wow. Thank you for your response. I was beginning to doubt my twister dots nano speedy. Which according to my store, won't even arrive until late March! Meanwhile I'm thinking perhaps I made a silly mistake, buying something sight unseen. But your encouraging words have given me faith again.
