I’m Asian American, and most of my aesthetics fall on the “Asian” side. Though I do appreciate that Western art tends to favor art innovation. I like that the Painted Dots are raised on the canvas, so you get a different texture. Curious to know what materials and processes they used, because the approaches I can think of are prone to cracking and flaking, especially on flexible materials. I would like to think LV spent a good amount of time and money on r&d, or else they’ll have many unhappy customers in the future.
I LOVE the raised dots. That’s why I love it so much more than anything printed. I’m Asian American too but I tend to appreciate western art, I think. But also what’s considered Asian art aesthetic? I don’t know. I love cute stuff. I grew up on Hello Kitty. Is that “modern” Asian art? I’m pretty ignorant about art. But if these dots are considered western then count me in. And if they’re considered Asian count me in too. I don’t care. I love them.

You should ask your CA how to care for the YK collection and what materials used. I think most likely the CA will just say the same thing which is to keep it in dust bag open top. When dirty, use a dry soft cloth....

@BULL gave an explanation many pages ago. Searching on mobile is too cumbersome on this site but you can find it under his name if you search this thread.
