No. Not with Army bigwigs. With then-Prince Charles’s household staff, including Lord Rosslyn (tall white-haired guy in the photo below who has been the head of King Charles and QC’s household for a while and before that was the head of the Metropolitan Police) and Sir Clive Alderton (KC’s principal private Secretary) Those seats were for senior members of the Prince of Wales’s household (at the time).

And no offense, but you seem to be reading a LOT of subtext into the internet’s fixation on a handsome guy? I mean, his term as Charles’s equerry is up sometime next spring and then … he will move up the chain of command in the military and I’m not sure why he’d want some internet fame to set against rising in his chosen profession?

I have changed the thread title to reflect the spirit of the OP @Maggie Muggins and the members posting in this thread since its humble beginnings a few months ago.

This thread is not, nor was it ever, a place for malicious gossip, politics, or bashing the fine gentlemen who are pictured here in kilts, or kilt-like but nevertheless worthy attire. Sorry if that was not clear at the onset, hopefully this will clear up any misunderstandings and help get the thread back to its original spirit.

Posts of malicious gossip, personal attacks, or political nature are off-topic and will be deleted.

There are lots of places to do that sort of thing, but not here.

Love this picture! His tam, and the way his has the length of fabric draped. Is there a name for that? I don t want to call it a shawl or a blanket.

I am learning a bit of UK's history here. I didn't realize before that Lord Rosslyn is the Earl of Rosslyn whose family owns the famous private Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland and Sir Clive Alderton was a British diplomat. King Charles lll household has very impressive credentials.
