I was thinking exactly the same. I know he worked for the Queen and now the King. But a lot of times in corporate world, bodyguards are chosen to look like their employers.
He's an equarry, isn't he? For Prince, King Charles now. Not Queen Not a bodyguard. He has commanded local Scottish Guards ..Balaclava unit, due to his army rank in Scottish Guards and so locally bred. Not far from Ballater. No idea if he did it this summer though or stays at Balmoral in the charge of guards if he is assigned to Charles but I have never seen any Queen's equarry to draw an attention in the press with the female fans and just basic info at the beginning of the tenure

I am telling you last time if you read my text it is not from the press. His family's estate links him to his duty of Balnoral's guards he had under his command.
It doesn’t matter where you got the information from. I am telling the absolute truth that his parents don’t live in Scotland and his Dad is retired, not running a business there. His family have never owned an estate there. They had a house in the area a long time ago but haven’t lived there for a number of years. I’m assuming you are talking about Major Thompson and not someone else?! He is in the Royal Regiment of Scotland and not the Scots Guards as keeps getting reported.

Post the evidence. I don't get it from tittle tattle or rags. My aim was to add some background info into the mix. I don't pick up the fight. He is not upper class but from posh stock of the officers for sure.

His father is Ian, here is it his biz info. You need to search their estates here...

Say like Waley Cohen. Not an aristo or landed gentry but still close proximity to the Crown and posh wealthy stock so hobbies such as horse riding...I wanted to give you an Insight, not to argue.

I’m genuinely not arguing, just setting the record straight. I know for a fact it’s wrong as I know them personally! His father also isn’t called Ian. The Daily Mail reported that but were wrong, so the above actually isn’t his record.

Foreign press has discovered Major Johnny aswell:graucho: Italian and Spanish papers write about the handsome equerry of the King!
Paris Match days ago but he was coveted by UK press widely. Paris Match before and it all started around Jubilee event at Westminster Abbey when he sat behind Harry and Meghan. Women swooned also about Arthur Chatto around that time but Major hit it off...somehow..on social media, Quara and forums. Never ever Queen's equarry and he is Charles's equarry. I wonder if he asks someone to film him and post or it is just his real fanbase of the women. Enjoy the recent video on Tik Tokhttps://www.tiktok.com/@uktravel/video/7143358239332142341

The last name is spelled Thompson (with a P) not Thomson.

I expect he is at least partially Scottish, (the Ballater games site mentioned he’s a Lonach Highlander which is from Aberdeenshire so I assume someone in his family is connected to Scotland in some way). I agree that the Daily Mail’s “research” is execrable (hence the reference to “bodyguard” when that has literally never been Major Johnny’s job - he commanded a battalion that did guard duty for the Queen, which is not the same as being her bodyguard. Actual bodyguards are the special division of the Met police. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protection_Command)

Is it possible pls explain how the press knows the name of his wife and the age of the child and it is a boy ? There is not mod bio about the name of the wife and a son and no way he has a social media account where he states like Rob Dixon that he is married to Sarah. The press can go to lurk on LinkedIn to find an education and the profile on the website but his wife does not says more than the dogs. She mentions she is busy with a toddler, no fact of her age gap of 5 years or an age for their son. They have to contact them or at least the wife. Maybe Major is parading himself too much, suddenly in the spotlight but before Charles became the monarch.

I expect he is at least partially Scottish, else it’s unlikely he’d have joined a Scottish regiment (and the Ballater games site mentioned he’s a Lonach Highlander which is from Aberdeenshire) but I agree that the Daily Mail’s “research” is execrable (hence the reference to “bodyguard” when that has literally never been Major Johnny’s job - he commanded a battalion that did guard duty for the Queen, which is not the same as being her bodyguard. A couple of months ago someone on Twitter posted personal photos of the Major and his family (they were quickly taken down) but apparently they came from somebody stalking Facebook. I mean I find it a lot easier to believe that the Daily Mail found Mrs Thompson’s FB page than that the Major is putting himself out there for … why? He’s a career military officer who’s served in war zones and now has a super prestigious position that has led previous military officers to medals, promotions, and commands so he’d throw it all away to be a gutter-press darling for the blink of an eye? I don’t think so. By the way, all the articles in Italian, French, Spanish, German are basically rehashing the Daily Mail one. As are the ones from Hello etc just in English  I am having a hard time figuring out the motivation to “parade” himself here.

But the person who lives in Banchory appears to spell their name Thomson (no “p”) and not Thompson, as the Major does.

Ok, mistyped etc, still I would say he has the highest profile of all army equarries, many of them obviously married bcs over 30 and often handsome, bcs he wants to boost his profile...just my opinion. You can't still get a name and age rfrom FB. He walks to Buck House by a main gate to be more seen as the staff entrance is on the side. Often staged ,I took a photo or a video, of Major...since June, sitting behind Harry and Meghan.
On other note it has to be hard for his wife to raise a toddler on her own as he's busy and so in spotlight. Unless he supports it and no idea if she had any post traumatic after birth syndrome bcs she mentions the struggles...he was 27 and she 32. How do they know the age of both? Now. I'd say 32 is already age when a woman wants to get married with biological clocks ticking. They did but a kid in her 40. Not one more. Ok we can go on Cressida Bonas's route who is pregnant 2-3 years after wedding and she's 35. 35 is not so easy age to get pregnant asap if you plan so and Pippa did but also more children in quick succession. At 40? Why? You would ask that. She has had not amazing career and frankly it is hard to keep up with military Joneses and moving around. One child. I'd say they had fertility struggles. My guess work as his publicity opens a lot of cans with worms. I think Mr Major is good flirt and seeks his publicity. I don't state anything more serious I say he is seeking fame to claim and it went quickly into his head.

Yep there is no p in Company House's record. He reminds me more other army officer singer .....you know....
Can anybody publish the photo of mentioned blonde (aide?). Is it Camilla's staff member?

You still need to find her name and frankly, all said above and he courts publicity. This came from his mouth or his wife reacted bcs people don't care and he is not famous. It has 0 to do with his achievements or skills but also scientists are not so famous. He was in public eye at the event that was coveted and sat behind twosome gruesome. With all army big wigs.

Actually it’s easy to find her name on Facebook. If you type in his name in the FB search box there’s a section on the bottom of the search results where a list of people FB thinks you might be interested in. Her name is listed on there. I think you might be unfairly critical of the media attention he gets. If he wants to court publicity, his LinkedIn would have been frequently updated like Prince William’s equerry to take advantage of the attention. As for knowing he & his wife’s ages, the reporter just have to contact the soldiers he’s worked with & find one who is willing to give the information.
