It ebbs and flows with the public duties. Right now on a major tour, it is inevitable that the interest in him picks up.

That being said, there’s about 5/6 Twitter/X accounts that chum the waters so to speak and spam the journalists, reporters, photographers for videos and info about him. Adding to that they make silly threads about him daily where they just, again, spam with photos and hashtags that they don’t need to. (Don’t even get me started on the silly “James bond” nonsense)

This thread is unique in that sense, after the end of the tour today, it will calm down and return to normal activity whereby no one posts unless he’s on a public engagements with the king.

This is why I joined this blog, it's very kind, mature and professional towards Lt Col Jonny Thompson.

I am watching three live channels and they are all showing something different. How to know which is really showing the King, Queen and our Jonny in real time!

Why are the French police not controlling the crowd! Just saw Jonny. A camera person actually tried to push him aside to get the camera into position! Nearly hit him in the head with a huge camera! Someone else elbowed Jonny in the back. The crowd in verging upon being out of control. So sad to see this happening. So different from the Germany visit.

Agreed. It's been totally chaotic. Scores of news photographers or Paps just pushing to get up close to the King to take pics, even though there has been designated spots where they stood to be photographed. It would never happen here.

Someone just punched Jonny in the arm to get him to move out of their way. Shameful. This part of the visit has completely unraveled. At this point just hoping for everyone in the RP to be extracted safely and on their way.

Just spoke with a police friend who told me this chaos is due to lack of proper advance planning from the police to control the media crowds. Mission a total fail on their part.
