How could there be no Jonny and no tiara!!!!WHAT.... Does anyone else feel VERY cheated?
When they were showing people inside a few minutes ago I thought I recognised a few of the Household there, but I didn't expect that.

Not only is Mr RomeGirl's dinner late, but he has to put up with a VERY grumpy RomeGirl banging pots and pans.

I think it was a question of where the entrance was. The King and Queen's car was followed through the gates by another car, which drove around behind the assembled guard. I presume that would have had Jonny, and possibly Sophie in it. From where that car was headed, they would have entered well out of camera range.Does anyone know if some sort of French royal visit protocol has kept us from seeing Jonny walking the red carpet behind the King and Queen tonight? Not even a quick glimpse! Will have to rely on Getty for videos. So disappointing.
"No tiara" seems to be becoming a new norm of sorts which is most disappointing. But no Jonny and his beautiful smile? That is catastrophic beyond words.
Who knows? I would have thought he would have attended, but it was definitely not as formal as the German State Banquet so perhaps not.
Jonny does seem to appear and disappear as if by magic. We see him with the King and then he disappears only to reappear inside. Sadly, you are probably right about the second car. He and the "A Team" staff may have been in that vehicle so they could be in place inside when the King and Queen arrived. Good event tactical planning if that is the case but not so good for us.
No, it seems more Showbiz and less State occasion to my eyes.
