I’m remembering when this thread was always active. I still love my CDCs, they are a part of getting dressed for me for almost 18 years. My Gris perle made me smile today

Your pale CDCs are gorgeous. The H gods were truly smiling on you when you found them.
I have a rouge tomate CDC which matches a carnelian ring of mine and I really enjoy wearing the two together.

We are on the same hunt! I would love a lisse emerald green and Gris T to finish up. Although I am a goner for the pale colors, if I could SO gator vert d’eau and ciel I would never be able to turn them down. :heart::heart:

What type of feedback? It’s beautiful, I love mine and wear it often. If you love it and will wear it, it’s a great choice!
It’s beautiful indeed but I am afraid its so prone to scratches. In terms of wear, do I really need to give it an extra care?
I have one in swift and is actually amazed on how durable it is.

I love, love, love :heart::heart::heart: all the fabulous pieces in this thread and I have been admiring you stylish Queens (and Kings) and your marvellous treasures in the most non-stalkerish and most lurking way possible. You have certainly dragged me down the spikey, orange slope and I am loving it.

I have a modest collection:

Sanguine gator CDC PHW (will post pic later);
Graphite gator CDC PHW (will post pic later);
Sterling silver CDC.

My own little contribution for now: Hermès sterling silver CDC, size LG, picked up in Monte Carlo some time ago. It goes so well with my Piaget Possession ring. It is robust, heavy as a log and a first class statement piece. It also fits snug as it should do.

I will try to post some daylight pictures later on.
Thanks for letting me share.

Oh, and if somebody sees a white exotic (of any kind, don't even know if one exists) CDC with PHW, please let me know. I want that one to complete my small arm candy army.

Nice! I agree the silver CDC is a durable classy statement piece. But don't loose weight! Mine's now loose. So, I've been thinking about what I could stack it with to keep it in place. Probably a MM silver CDC bracelet. (There's a remedy for every H problem! More H!!!).

I think my leather CDCs are pretty much in epsom. I do not pay too much attention to the leather but the graining (is that what you call it?) or finish of epsom makes me think the CDC could be rung over by a truck and still look good.

Thank you, Eagle! I love carnelian, it must be a lovely combo. OT, but did you know the Met is opening a special jewelry exhibit soon? I thought of you.
YES! I do! Thank you for mentioning it, dharma! We were planning on going to NYC in late Nov after the exhibit opened. Plans changed. We may wait awhile to go b/c we are kicking around some other travel plans since I'll be retired soon (not soon enough!). Although I love NYC and haven't been there for a few years, I have to avoid temptation for right now.

Maybe a decade ago the Met had an exhibit on diamonds. I still remember seeing Elizabeth Taylor's Krupp diamond which was kind of lame close up. The guard said to stand back and then look. He was right, it was like a beacon across the room. The Met does a really good job on exhibits, food, book shop.

No extra care needed. My first CDC was black box with PHW and I purchased it almost 20 years ago. The leather is still beautiful and it’s my most worn. I don’t even remove them with frequent hand washing, I just dry any splashes right away.

I have a box Kelly, a decade old. Every time I think about getting it spa'd I think I would want to wear it in the interval so I hang on to it.
My point: it does show scratches. So, if you really really like CDC color I'd keep it. If you don't wear it everyday, it'll be fine. A bag gets shoved into a drawer at work, a CDC doesn't. Half the time you wear it it'll probably be covered by long sleeves (I'm guessing), which will protect it.
