Have to disagree here. Selection of the diamonds is an area where Cartier *does not shine* so to speak. In fact Cartier is waaaaay subpar. They need to address this if they want to avoid fallouts in teh future.

First, they do not care about certifiation under a specific size - cannot recall where that is but it applies to all JUCs, Loves and Panthères.

Second - and this is subjective - sparkling of Cartier diamonds is lower than on other jewelers. There are some movies from professionals on the internet.

Third, they don't care about fluorescence. This might be okay if they assemble them in a special pattern, maybe like strips on a Pavé but no, they are just randomly placed. Looks awful especially when spending $30.000 or more. Totally unacceptable.

Forth, WG is brighter than RG and YG. I do have both a Panthère pavé in WG and RG. The RG is dull, the WG shines.

You are right it's all about perception. I'd like to perceive that the diamonds are certified, they sparkle as well as non-Cartier diamonds, perceive no fluorescence and see no difference between RG und WG. Looks my perception is not perfect or at least not where Cartier wants me to have it :flowers:

Forgive me, but why would you buy non-WG versions with diamonds, or, even any of the diamonds at all if you think Cartier is so subpar in this area?

No worries, just ask please. This is a really good question and in fact

1. I bought my RG + diamonds before I realized that WG is much better with diamonds
2. I bought most of the jewelry *before* I found out about the low quality diamonds
So two failures on my end. Should've done my research earlier and more throughly. Shame on me :confused1: ... but still being happy.

As a sidenote talked to a VCA SA this week who insisted that VCA uses much better diamonds than Cartier. No proof just her comment.

For me personally, the four diamonds aren’t worth it BUT if you love it and you intend to wear it 24/7 (as the love bracelet is intended to be worn) then it IS worth it for you if that makes sense?

Although it’s a hefty purchase, the piece that you can afford without going into debt AND still love at the same time is 100% worth it.

It’s easier for me to justify Cartier purchases as compared to other fine jewelry brands (like VCA stones) because I never take them off and the cost per wear evens it out for me.

I’m having the same dilemma right now between the YG 4 diamond love vs plain. Price difference is now like 5k
Will be my first love bracelet and I know I will definitely want to purchase another love to stack. Im leaning towards the plain love for now but having major FOMO as the 4 dia love will be more $$$ to purchase in the future.
To those who had the same dilemma as me, what did you guys end up getting and are you happy with your decision? Regrets?

I did regret a little not getting the Juc sm with diamond (I bought the plain).

I have read some prefer to get the plain and use that 5k difference to get another piece with bling (say a tennis bracelet). However I feel it won’t replace your want for the 4D. Cartier is after all what it is. If you truly yearn for the 4D, then it should happen now. Some say the diamonds are rather obscure but recently I bought the cuff with 1D (2years ago I bought the plain love) and I can totally see the 1 tiny bling!

If you can afford it def get the diamond version. I got JUC reg with no diamonds - regret it to this day. And so all my subsequent purchases at Cartier were always with diamonds eg love ring with diamonds, love bracelet with 4 diamonds, JUC ring with diamonds

Agreed, do it if you can. If you ever intend to get one with diamonds, I'd do it first. My regular and thin Loves have diamonds, as well as my small Juc, no regrets.

I have both plain regular Love and small Love, and I have to admit, I do regret not getting the 4 diamond regular Love instead of the plain. But at this point, I have no intentions on getting another Love, so I guess you could say I'm 'stuck' with the plain ones. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my Love bracelets, but if I could do it over, I'd definitely get the regular as a 4 diamond. If you could afford it, then go for it! Is it technically worth it? No, not really, but like others have said, if it sings to you, then do it! You only live once.
