My bag arrived! I feel like this one is less popular as it’s still available on more than one site (I only checked the UK and Hong Kong sites, as they’re the ones relevant to me). It’s the one that caught my eye from the beginning though. <3

Things I love: the print, the dog being visible on the front, the shiny button, the wavy luggage tag, the colour of the treated leather (does treated mean I don’t need to worry about rain?). The size is quite compact but will fit my essentials (I typically carry my Kindle and a small bottle of water alongside small stuff like my CCH, keys, earphones, etc.). The strap length is quite long, but the shortest length will be OK for me.

The main negative: the design of the front flap is poor. I didn’t take a photo of this but the flap is stitched down at its edges maybe one cm below the top of the bag. This makes the opening of the front pocket smaller and means that the bag will bend roughly where I’ve drawn the pink line on the second photo. The pocket is more spacious than I expected and might have fit the Kindle, but I can’t get it in the smaller opening and I don’t want to encourage the canvas and leather to crack/crease, so I won’t be using that pocket much. Why didn’t they just let it hinge from the top seam?

A more minor disappointment: the bag came fully open with the strap attached and half pushed inside. That has pushed down one of the leather bands and creased it slightly. I can stuff the bag and it won’t be noticeable, but why ship it like that? I have two other men’s bags - a Keepall XS which came with the strap in a separate plastic bag, and a Keepall 25 which had the strap in a separate cloth bag. The latter is really what I’d expect at this price point.

I also didn’t get any special packaging. Did anyone? I was drowning in special tissue paper, tags, ribbon and bags for the Kusama collab.

The strap for my craggy Keepall came inside the bag, but not in a dust bag itself.

I was also disappointed in the lack of any special packaging at all. I thought it would be more like the Kusama stuff too.

This is soo pretty!! Congrats!! The vachetta strip in the front looks so good in an IRL pic. I love that it comes with the wavy tag too and agree about the dog in the front.

Very interesting re front pocket. My guess is it would have compromised the true envelope shape of the flap in some way and they ultimately settled on this to protect the design. Is the entire front space the pocket? Wondering how it works with those rounded corners on the top and what the pocket looks like under the flap.

Sorry to hear about the careless way it was packaged. Did it at least come with a dust bag for the bag? Both of my Tyler keepalls came with their straps and tags in plastic bags, no dust bag, and protective stickers on all the clasps. Locks and keys were in those little boxes and dust bags as well. The strap on my wearable envelope wallet isn’t removable so it came with the strap, but it was unbuckled and it wasn’t stuffed inside the purse. My bumbag and dopp came unbuckled too. I remember they used to do straps in dust bags back in the day, and if they were in a plastic bag and a dust bag it felt extra brand new lol.

I was expecting special packaging too and was kind of surprised they didn’t do any. A single flower on the bag would have been so fun, or even just a different color (green) box and bag.

Also, wow, just saw the price online and was not expecting it to be that much. I thought it would be closer to the price of the keepall 25 and bumbag.

This is so pretty! I like it way more than the product photos, which looked a little clunky; this looks much more graceful. I'm sorry that the front pocket is not as useful as you hoped. On the plus side, I think the way they designed it makes it look more attractive, but I'm sorry that it makes it a little less useful. Can you use it to hold your keys or cards (something small that are convenient to have in an outer compartment so you can grab them quickly)?

Hi @nicole0612 - your vanilla bag is such a great bag - sorry you are having to try and fall in love with it! It sounds like because you would love it in chocolate, it’s more the light canvas that is holding you up. I don’t see it so much is a cutesy lady bag - it is fun, but it’s also different from other LV bags. I realized about half my LV collection are “men’s” bags as I like the clean lines of many of those pieces. I surprised myself because I don’t usually like like super light colored bags either partly because my style is more funky and black and silver, and other colors are my usual go to, but for some reason, I like this vanilla canvas with the print. Adjusting the strap so it hits you differently sounds like that helped you.

Here is a picture of the fast line, along with the mini craggy trunk I was able to stalk and get last week! The shape of the fastline and your vanilla bag are pretty similar and I can carry everything I need in that fastline wallet, including an iPhone 15 Promax. I adore that little bag, and I do wear it right at my hip bone, crossbody. I added the little trunk so I’d stay on topic. And this is the lightest color bag I own (except for a half white/half black leather NF) and I’ve had no color transfer issues. I do have the pastel escale NF canvas and no transfer on it either, though I hand carry it about half the time.

Bottom line - are you trying to talk yourself into it because it’s so unique and special? And will you wear it? I loved a thread in the H forum about what we’ve learned and mistakes we’ve made buying bags. And we were to be brutally honest with ourselves 🤓 Brutal honesty has helped me and I’ve sent a few back that would have taken up space but not gotten used. One of the other best replies for me was “trying to buy a bag that didn’t suit me fully or my lifestyle as I live it”. My style changed after lockdowns and work from home - I buy smaller bags typically now. But I also usually by limited edition because I like many of them.

Was that enough preach for you :P ? I would wear and love that cutie in a heartbeat, but you have to love it. Let us know what you decide - it can be really hard sometimes. Good luck and HTH!

Thank you! That does help a lot! I love your fastline by the way; it is so modern and sleek. I feel like I should play around with the Vanilla bag again with a colorful, whimsical charm to see if that helps (maybe one of the mini keepall charms). I was thinking about attaching the lemon or orange tiagarama charm, which would totally bring out the funky, silly vibe, but they are a little too large proportionally I think?

I think it is just out of my comfort zone. Like you say, I gravitate towards the men's line because they typically have more clean lines, and my style is more fun and funky, just like you say. I mean, you know I absolutely love your collection!

You are so right! The shape of my Vanilla bag is absolutely perfect, its just some weird hang up I have that the colorway is too sweet and not edgy. ...but I also think it can absolutely be fun and funky, so I am going to try to lean into that!

When @zipporah just posted her chocolate bag, similar to mine in style, I was like, "Oh I love that one more", but then I realized that I did get the little envelope bag in chocolate, so I probably would not get as much use out of my bag if it was in chocolate after all?

It's so crazy, but if I return the Vanilla bag, I will probably get something totally different but the same size, probably another wearable wallet, either the bright blue empreinte wearable wallet or the monogram bleach wearable wallet. Actually, now that I look at them again online, they are super similar, just a little different color vibe.

Thank you so much for the help and the photos!!

The front pocket is the entire front of the bag, just with a slightly smaller opening. It’s also been sewn to “bump out” a little, so width wise a Kindle could have fit, not just something very thin like cards, as I thought originally (actually, when I first saw the bag I thought the envelope was just decoration and didn’t realise it opened).

I’m sure I could find things to fit in it, it’s just any time I open it, it will be one more step towards the bag developing a weird crease. :/

Now you mention it, the luggage tag came already attached too, and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t on my Keepall 25. It was also not on the side shown in the video. I know it can technically go wherever you want but putting it on the other side makes things too crowded with the zip pull when the bag is closed.

It really does seem like a return that wasn’t properly re-prepared, but I only ordered a few days after release and it had been showing “ships in two days” the whole time. I mean it seemed like the stock was ready to go, not that I’d be getting something that had been returned. At least all the stickers were still on the hardware.

And yes, the price surprised me too! I was also expecting it to be similar to the Keepall 25. But I guess they have made Keepalls forever in various sizes, whereas this is a one off design for this collection (unless a longstanding LV collector can correct me on that). So it would have needed more development. And it has the big button. Anyway, I cringed at the price, but I also learnt early on that it’s better to pay more for what you actually want than try to satisfy yourself with something cheaper that you either like less or which you simply won’t have a use for (such as the envelope pouch - very cute, I would never use it).

Have you had the chance to use this gorgeous bag yet? Any more or less concerns about the front pocket? I think I have the chance to exchange my vanilla wearable wallet for your chocolate envelope messenger so I hope to join you soon on this one! It is larger than I usually carry, but the design is just so nice!
I found a tick tok comparing the two bags, but I am so old, so I took photos of my desktop computer playing the video because I don’t have tick tok on my phone 🤣

The strap and luggage tag for my Keepall 25 originally came in a ziplock bag when i first saw it in store but my SA packaged it in a small dustbag.
Special packaging would have been so cool!
Your bag is super cute! I really like this as well and love the shiny wavy button but wanted a bag in the chocolate mono with a top handle.
Also i haven’t had a bag with treated vachetta before but I still treated mine with waterproofing spray anyway, just in case

@kerebear and all those who got the keepall 25 from this collection, what does your hardware look like? It’s supposed to be “polished gold hardware”, mine looks kinda dull and like it’s about to be… tarnished? Is that the way it’s supposed to be? I just picked it up but it came the first day since I preordered (my SA sent pics) so I don’t think it’s a return.
