What would you choose? LV .empreinte lumineuse PM or Balenciaga velo? I worry much if lumineuse will look big on me. Given 2 options, what do you prefer?
Hmm honestly that's a hard one to answer. I'd want to lean towards the Luminesuse over the velo for one reason it's made of calfskin(my personal fav leather wise) over lambskin. Unless you can manage to find one of the holiday hamitons from 2011 season which were made of chevre(but are very HTF) my second fav leather. IMO it would hold up better over time lambskin is more delicate. I really wished they offered more bags/sizes in this line. Quality wise I'd go for the LV emprite over bal any day of the week Bbags show wear pretty quickly which can be very disappointing IMO.
I like the Lumineuse but it is big, dimension wise it is notably bigger than the Velo. The PM is 17.5″ x 11.8″ x 7.1 and the Velo is 13.5 x 11 x 6.5. Depending on what you carry and your size it could be very over whelming on you esp if you are petite. I'm 5.3 plus size and I thought it looked big on me, someone who's taller could carry it off better. If your around my height and average size IMO it would overwhelm you. I don't know how much stuff you carry around day to day, but in my experience when bags were too big I generally tire of using them and they end up sitting in the closest/being sold.
Shoulder straps the Velo can be crossbody the Lumineuse is more of a shoulder strap and not a true crossbody strap. Some can swing it that way because they are short/petite, I think most people will not be able to work it that way.
Price wise you could get two rh Velos for the cost of one Lumineuse. I know ****** has been having a lot of sales & free shipping lately(if you friend them on FB you can get the codes). I'd be hesitant to spend so much money on the Lumineuses if it is going to be too big for your day to day needs and ends up not getting used. However if you don't own any Bbags you may be sorely disappointed in how they wear. So I'd also be hesitant to buy a Bbag if your not familiar how they wear.
Have you considered the new speedy emprite speedy? It can be hand held, shoulder strap, and crossbody. I know the 25 dimension wise sounds small but can actually hold a lot. I'm only speculating but I think they will have a 30 next year, I think they started off with the 25 to see how popular they would be before making it in all the sizes like they do with the canvas bags. Cost wise they could have a ton of inventory on hand if it flopped.
Back to the original question quality wise I'd pick LV over Bal. Size wise of the two bags you listed I'd like the Velo over the Lumineuse. Which I know isn't very helpful, sorry.

If they released speedy 30, for no questions, I'm getting it. I'm just concerned that speedy 25 is too small for me. It's impt for me that a jacket / cardigan would fit in my bag haha!

I originally was looking to get a speedy b DE and went in thinking I'd want a 30 because everyone talks about how small the 25 is. I held off when I heard of a leather speedy. When I compared the two I was shocked by how big the 30 is, and it also looked like luggage on me between the size of it and the DE pattern. All my stuff fit in the 25 with enough room left over for a book, or a water bottle, ect. I tried out the speedy empreinte a couple weeks back and I thought it was the same as the canvas speedy. All my stuff fits with extra room for when I need it. However when I travel I don't check luggage so it's carry on only so that's why I use my largest bag.
