Sent in my handbag for a minor repair to the Southern California repair center 8 weeks ago and I've heard nothing ever since, not even an email requesting credit card information to pay for the repair. LV web site lists a 6 to 8 week turn-around time but I'm surprised I haven't heard anything. And yes, the FedEx tracking number shows it being delivered 2 months ago.

I would think a higher-end product line like LV would have better customer support although I guess I'm just kidding myself. Just curious as to what time frame other people have had. Thanks.

Have you tried contacting CS and inquiring about the status of your repair? I was recently quote an estimated repair time of 8 - 10 weeks.

That's obviously my next step. I had simply hoped someone here could have given me a recent real world experience with their repair service. Contacting LV's customer service isn't as easy as you might think, emails are returned days later, not hours and even then it's just generic answers.

Usually higher-end products have stellar customer service, that's why many of us buy more expensive products in the first place, customer service and product support. I certainly don't get that vibe from LV unfortunately.

I went to the LV boutique and had them send my neverfull GM in for repair on 3/20. The SA said it would take 14 weeks for it to be repaired and shipped to the store. I honestly think they’re backed up. They didn’t ask for my cc information either. However, I’m guessing they’ll withdraw payment from the cc on file when the repair is finished. You should be able to track the process through your account portal? Mine shows what phase my bag is currently in.

Thanks, Exactly what I was looking for. My status has shown "In repair" for sometime now without any change. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the advertised 8 week turn-around is actually more like 14 because of covid backups like everyone else. They have no credit card on file for me so I assume at some point they'll need it. For me, it's a super small repair caused by normal wear that I noticed just after the warranty period was up. Something they should do for free but I'm sure that doesn't happen.

Thanks again and when I get mine back I'll let you know of the current wait time.

No problem! She did said that it could be repaired and back earlier but that’s the timeframe LV is giving at the moment. A candle burned my vachetta trim so I have a little more damage lol. I know they charge $60 for vachetta. I’m pretty sure they’ll let you know!

I brought a bag in October, was quoted 8 weeks and it was back in 4. Brought one in mid-nov, quoted 8 weeks, it came in last week. Not done correctly so back out for another ??? Weeks. My SA was minimally helpful so I ended u calling CS. She said since my bag was an older style, they had to wait for pieces to be made in France, then sent to the US for the repair. And every step is slower because of Covid. So I wouldn’t worry too much if it has only been 8 weeks, but call if you have questions bc they were actually very helpful!

Thanks, that's helpful. Not that it really matter's but I was hoping it would be back before a vacation trip next month but no big deal.
Would you have anyone at home to sign for the package if they happen to mail you the bag when you are gone?

That is my concern with sending my bag for repair right now, as our plans for the summer are still up in the air. But I contacted CS and they told me that the repair quote I got does not expire and that I can just mail it to them later.

Hopefully when they reach out to me for payment info I can judge the time frame of it being sent. We've been sitting at home everyday for a year it seems like and of course now I'll actually be gone when it arrives!

I dropped off my Speedy B for repairs at the store mid-November and didn't receive the bag back until the end of January. My repairs were under warranty so I don't know if that makes a difference. Also my status never changed from in repair until it was at the store ready for me to pick up. Hopefully if your back has been in that status for awhile it will be back to you soon!

For those of you interested in knowing the current turn-around time for repairs, I just received my bag back today, exactly 9 weeks after sending it in. I received my invoice a week ago so I guess the 8 week time frame is accurate followed by processing and shipping time.

Also, although UPS's email said someone over 21 would have to sign for the package, in reality the guy simply handed it to me without signing. I assume they just need an adult to receive it.

Anyone have any insight onto current repair times? I sent in my PSM for repair on May 21 and initially the repair estimate was set for the beginning of August and has now changed to September. Isn't four months a little bit ridiculous to wait? I'm extremely disappointed. :frown:
