Get a non-speedy item that you like. It can be cheaper, more expensive, same price, doesn't matter. If you find yourself still wanting that speedy, exchange it for the speedy.

Rather than thinking, I think sometimes it's an action that really helps us understand what we really want and will be happy with. Sometimes, I've realized after seeing the receipt that I actually don't want something.

Almost all the classics are worth to spend money on even with tax added on if you are not selling them within few years.

That’s kind of what I’ve always done. I get something else then say next time I will get the Speedy.

Hmm then either the speedy is something you'd like to add, but don't actually "need" or "want," or it means you should really get speedy. When you see speedy on other people, do you want it, or do you just like it?

If LV were to suddenly say that no more speedys would be made or sold, would you be ok on missing out on it? Or would you regret not getting the bag while you still could?

I think it is only worth it if it is worth it to you. I do love mine, and it is a very popular bag for a reason. The price will never go down and even pre-owned is almost as much as new, so I would definitely buy new. There are many choices out there for a leather bag, but no other company does canvas as well as Louis Vuitton, in my opinion.

If they said no more Speedy I would grab it fast. My very first LV was suppose to be the Speedy 5 years ago. Then I changed my mind at the last minute and purchased the “Retro”. Since then I have added to my collection with a variety of shapes and size LV bags and SLGs. I have stayed away from the Speedy I think because it had a similar shape as the Retro. I think I better get it now. I don’t it have anything Azur in my collection so now I’m torn on Mono or Azur? Lol

Hmmm for speedy canvas, I prefer mono or DE. It looks "expensive" in those prints imo. My one and only speedy is a Since 1854 in bordeaux.
